*ASEXUAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Zachiel's commission has been such a joy, from one gal on the asexual spectrum, and I'm so glad that I was able to read this series!

We finish with volume 3 and if you're questioning how we could round out this series - it gets EMOTIONAL and wild real quickly! What a joy of a series to talk about with such great representation!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

I’m so happy you enjoyed the final volume as well. I also loved to hear your perspective as an ace person yourself too. I also liked that Gaku and sousuke didn’t end up getting together and stayed friends because I feel like unrequited love is often treated like the bad ending where the person can never be happy but even though Gaku’s feelings aren’t returned he is still very loved by both Sosuke and yuriko platonically. I agree that sosuke is definitely being implied to be somewhere on the aroace spectrum and I loved the exploration of him as a character in this volume outside of just his relationship with gaku. I also think that even for allo people society is set up to make people feel ashamed of being single and that sucks. I like the way that gaku and yuriko sort of reclaim marriage as something for themselves rather than the traditional image of it. As long as they are happy it doesn’t matter if it’s “normal” or not. I think them moving out of the house in the end is kinda connected to that since the house is built to be a traditional family house and didn’t suit them the way they are so instead they opened it up to other people. This manga is so underrated and I really wanted to share it with more people so I’m so happy you enjoyed it and connected with it so much.

Yes, this final volume was great!! I am really glad that Gaku and Sousuke stayed friends -- you're so right; when do we get legitimate unrequited love stories that have happy, mutual moving forward? I wasn't expecting Sousuke to be on that aroace spectrum, but I appreciated the development of his character in this - maybe Gaku has a "type" after all! XD It is sad with the way that society treats staying single as a "problem," I agree. And yes, I like that Gaku and Yuriko reclaim marriage as a way to make it their own! And yes, as long as they're happy, it doesn't matter how it "looks." And yes, that's a great point about the house representing "Traditional values," and them leaving it is a great piece of symbolism of them leaving it behind. I was not sure how in the world they would resolve everything in one episode, but they managed to do so with such success! Thank you for the comment and for the commission - this was such a fun journey and I'm so glad I was able to read this story!!
