!! Wild to think that the finale is here already How fast the time ends up rolling :p Seeing Nice back, as a fear(?)zombie has me EXCITEDD!! Like I was in the camp where Nice died. That he did commit suicide, while many others (like you) theorised maybe faked death. And then last episode made it clear to us all and for sure that he did try to die. Only for this episode to come back with "Hehe no" I'm so SHOOK!! And I'm so happy. I'm glad that my fav is back. Though, taking that he's back as a zombie, maybe I shouldn't be as glad... But I always love to see my favs suffer :P Also, since Nice's new zombie look gives me Kintsugi vibes. Which is a Japanese art where you take a broken porcelain and fix it with gold. It's meant to symbolise "beauty in imperfection". And that is SO ironic, given how Nice has that whole "perfection" and "porcelain doll" aesthetic on him. So this whole "fixing him with fear(?)" is even extra cruel. I'm assuming at least that he was fixed with fear, bc idk what else it could have been. The tarot cards at the end!! The episode came out around the same time that LOTM was airing, so seeing the Fool card got everyone crazy over "ooo, LOTM reference?!?!?" (since both are also Chinese donghua) Personally, I think it's a coincidence and not a reference. But I love to see it regardless. Glad you ended up enjoying the series. <3<3

Thank you for the reactions So Interesting fact there was a actual trust poll where people could vote online on who would be in the tournament which is why e soul wasn’t there like I said your not the only person he wasn’t popular with there was a lot of confusion at the time why nice was still on the poll when the commoner was revealed No one expected nice zombie that’s crazy the results of the that poll was what was shown at the end

Great finale to a peak season. Tbh, when it originally came out I was slightly disappointed cause I really wanted more info on X’s past, the aliens, the ????/woman in black. THE “O” WOMAN ON THE BILLBOARDS, just like you 😂. But it’s still a great finale, I love the moment of connecting all of the heroes together and them being manipulated by Fate to come together and inevitably create another Zero Theres a fan theory that the “fate” being referred to by X is the name of the woman in Black and she is actually pulling some strings, which I love so I mostly just call her “????/Fate” Ep12 10:26, we get a tad bit more info on the woman in black and the pink haired guy 👀 Regarding the comment in the beginning you thought was a spoiler, I think the guy was just pointing out that those three have had imagery of people reaching towards them, Zero at the shrine, Nice in the Ad and.. I can’t think of X’s right now but it’s prob in the OP Oh and for the Lin Ling thing, I doubt he actually doesn’t know that E-Soul did it, they’re fs just lying to the public to do some behind the scenes stuff. condemning E-Soul like that could work considering he has a “history” of killing heroes (just one) but the civilians in this show are shown time and time to lowkey be sociopaths and fickle, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just came up with something like “well E-Soul killed Shand’s son so Moon probably did something really bad!” Knowing damn well they were mourning her like 10 minutes ago

My theory is that the dark haired girl in the ed is "Fate" as in that's her hero name. Not fate literally. So when he says defying fate he means going up against her. Thats my tinfoil hat theory

This is such an exciting final episode for the season. Just seeing X aura farming is always the best. Something that I had been dying to share with you is how when this show was airing there were polls up in the shows official website; you could vote on who your favorite hero was, and the votes actually affected the positions of the characters in the tournament in this last episode. It was so funny, though, to see how wildly some numbers changed week by week while we were discovering more and more of the story, especially with Nice, who started pretty popular, suffered a huge dip in popularity when the ruins incident episodes dropped, and immediately picked up in popularity again when we saw how horribly Mr. Shang treated him. Through it all, though, X remained at the top, even when we hadn't gotten more than the PVs and trailers of him xD Ahu and X's friendship is the cutest thing to me. I love that Ahu, true to his nature, decided to help and protect X because he helped him protect Xinya. From what I understand from were the show left off and what X says, this show is truly going to be about dismantling hero society and getting rid of the trust value, and that's so cool to me. We have been exposed through this whole season how horrible the trust value system really is, how corrupt the Comission and the Hero Agencies are, and the perpetuating cycle of heroes destroying each other to get to the top and being puppets of the CEOs, and that story compels me greatly. There might also be something about fighting a bigger threat... or something with them all fighting together as we see in that ED, and that seems interesting as well, but we'll see where this show takes us. I did really love this anthalogy introducing us to the main show that Li Haoling wants to tell us. Imagine starting a show with a cast this big and having to make space to explain powers, motivations, relationships, history, and all the little complexities and nuances that we have gotten to see through this season, it would have been crazy. Now, come season 2, the show can focus on telling a more concise and cohesive plot, and we can root for our favorite characters and see where they end up. Nice just being there, though, made me gasp when I first watch it. What does it mean????? Is he alive? A ghost? Revived in some fucked way? A robot/clone? Literally anything is possible, I think. X appearing in the middle of the arena as *himself* and not X is such a statement, I think. He is done hiding away and running from the crazy power games that all the other heroes have been roped in so far; he is ready, and willing to play the game, and by god he intends to win it. And that's so much of what makes his character so interesting to me. He was a hero, but he seemed to be the only one aware of how the game went and was keeping himself hidden and away from it all very consciously because he didn't want to be a part of it all, keeping the mystery of his identity as a careful protection. Obviously, Smile's death push him to not want that anymore, but Rock finding out who he is doesn't feel, to me, like Rock forcing his hand, but much more like X let it happen and is doing exactly what he wants to be doing. I'm so excited for season 2! This show has a lot of promise, and I'm so here to see what it delivers.

If you look at the part where X was hanging around to buy food, you can see some low-angle views that look like someone was spying on X from a distance, and those low-angle views were likely coming from Ahu. It's most likely that The Commission didn't invent the Trust Value. The Trust Value is like a potential nuclear threat to the Commission after the Dawnfall yet everyone has the Trust Value. The Commission can't really hold everyone down to suppress something that the people just possess or persuade everyone to give all their Trust to someone who only works for the Commission. Sometimes there might be a group that appeared out of nowhere promoting new "heroes", like a cult that made Cyan special. The Commission want to quantify and control the Trust Value, and The Tournament is just a solution for them to challenge the most trusted heroes without confronting them directly; instead, heroes are fighting heroes themselves while the people who are giving heroes their Trust also cheer for the tournament. So there were two polls on Bilibili that viewers can vote for each hero. There was one poll happened before the show had started airing and another one happened during the show's runtime. People were voting based off all the promotional materials that were given before the show had started airing for the first poll. For the second poll, Lin Ling wasn't given a separate voting spot before EP4, and he was using Nice's title for the first three episodes. Lin Ling was only getting a separate voting spot as the Commoner. The viewers were also given a second chance to transfer their votes after the Ruins Incident episode. Haolin has mentioned that the rankings of the poll will have some degree of impact to the narrative of the story. The chart displayed in the Special OP is the result of the first poll. It was possible that OG Nice would knock out anyone who would be the lowest ranked hero among the top 10 heroes of the first poll. While this theory wasn't confirmed officially, E-Soul is the 10th and the lowest ranked hero of this first poll, and he's being knocked out of the tournament in the seasonal finale, even though people who voted didn't know about the full story of the E-Soul arc yet. Though the Special OP itself is confirmed to be the reward for the top ranked hero, X.

HONESTLY – I was expecting way more backstory on X, O, and the others in this but it’s really a great set up for season 2 and to get us hooked! I would be REALLY curious to see what we get on “O” and thank you for that time stamp – I will definitely go back to check that out before looking into the extras!! It’s going to be wild for Season 2 – thank you for the comment!

The finale already being here is WILD! It’s so crazy that it’s already here! Nice as a fear(?)Zombie?! Now THAT would be interesting – if his nightmare of being infected with fear made him a porcelain doll instead of a monster…isn’t that the same, though? It’s wild to think about! The idea of him being a zombie is so scary, though - I need to know the “stage” of Zombiness to know what we’re dealing with – *shakes fists at Li Haolin* And oooh, the connection to Kintsugi, yessssss, damn, Phos meeting Nice would be SOMETHING! Seriously, I just LOVE the LOTM tarot cards connection - it’s so fun!! Thank you so much for the comment and YES, I loved the series and I am now going to be foaming at the mouth for season 2!

X out here aura farming was so fantastic to see, seriously! But yeah, what a season! That poll idea is INSANE! WOW! Thank you for explaining that! I just LOVE the relationship between Ahu and X – man’s best friend, eh? I really am hyped to see where the show goes to from here, especially with how we deal with the corrupt CEO’s and agencies and the Commission in all this! I’m sooooo excited to see where this will all lead to – but the “Zombie”Nice?! I’m so terrified at what this could all involve. Let this poor man rest! I love X showing up as himself at the end and I can’t wait to see what he does with all of this in season 2! Thank you so much for the comments – now, onto the Extras!

I love how perspective is used with Ahu in this! So cool! I will be interested in seeing what the series does with Trust and Fear value in season 2 as well!
