Oh my gosh, I love this episode so freaking much. While I had been emotional in several of the previous episodes (yes, I know this is only episode 6) this is the first episode were I properly cried... and I cried again watching your reaction. The beauty of having someone that wants to help you out and believes in you when you yourself don't... that hit me so hard. I love it. I love that Tsukasa has that in the Kago family. And while Tsukasa seems like a bit of a prideful person who doesn't want to be a "burden" on those who love him, understandably, the fact that he also couldn't go to the Kago's because he feels that he failed Meiko (what is it with this show and loving names that sound so alike? Meiko, Mika, Mike, I'm so confused already) and broke the promised he made her just crushed my heart. I'm glad that they aren't letting him just wallowed in it but are showing him their love and support. I did think that Tsukasa had had it as hard as he did. From the previous episodes I thought that once he got interested in skating he had being able to start practicing and that it had just been a little harder because he was 14... not that he had pretty much every door closed in his face until he was 20 years old. That's insane. No wonder he jumped at the chance to be able to be the door for Inori that he couldn't find for himself. Also, Tsukasa getting inspired to skate because of Jun... yeah, that is not helping me not ship them xD My take from this episode is simply that I adore the Kago family and I need more of them and Tsukasa. I hope that we get to see them much, much more.

I really loved this episode, too – getting Tsukasa’s “backstory” as it were - it was so emotional. I was not ready for the mother to pass, or to see their reactions! I love seeing Tsukasa’s perspective, with him being proud and not wanting to be a burden, but the Kago family loving him and wanting to help him….it was beautifully told. I’m glad the family is sticking around to help him, though! Also, YES! Meiko, Mike, Mika - it’s easy to get confused! Tsukasa’s reason for supporting Inori so hard, the DEFINITELY shipper fodder that is him being inspired by Jun (coughs), yeah, there was so much to love in this episode! Thank you so much for the comment!!
