I love that you chose that shot of LG pulling Vein on strings like a puppet for the thumbnail. It's such a cool, chilling image. You know, I've definitely felt like this season has been a little all over the place, but I'm appreciating how things have started to connect a little bit more recently, and seeing a bit more of Cheng Weiming and his role in Bahati helps with that. Still, I keep being afraid that the show has gotten a little too convoluted for its own good and Li Haolin won't be able to stick the landing when putting all the threads together and making them make sense. After this episode I think it's finally impossible to not see that Xia Fei is in cahoots with Vein and all of them. He is looking for that register and trying to be so subtle about it. Something that I can never stop thinking about when the question of Xia Fei's alliance comes up is that he was introduced in an MV FOR THE VILLAINS, as one of the three main antagonist, back when promotion for the Bridon arc was happening. I remember being so confused that he wasn't a villain in that arc because of it; but I also don't think that it was a mistake that he was there. I can totally see him going down the dark side and following Liu Xiao after finding out that LG and CX where involved in Vein's "death". Yeah, at this point in the story the only edge that LG has is that no one knows that he came back from the future and knows the order of events. Liu Xiao and Vein, as much as they might not like LG and CX can't have any reason to know or even suspect something like that. And, honestly? I kinda can't wait to see their reactions if they ever find out. Oh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that things that CX's parents were not good parents at all. Sure, it might be that they left to protect him and all, but that doesn't erase the fact that they abandoned him in the first place. And even if to protect him, erasing his memories is a very messed up thing to do. Actually, Cheng Weimings' abilities potentially being that he can manipulate/erase memories is very disturbing. Especially when you realize that he probably did it to hundreds of kids, at Bahati, regardless of the reason. It's just such a huge violation, and the possibility that he erased something that was crucial for that person's emotional growth/personhood just makes it even more messed up. We are our memories; they teach us and shape us, and taking that away, specially from little kids that have so much more fewer memories to build themselves in is just wrong. Something that occured to me while watching this episode is the question of what if Cheng Weiming altered Lu Guang's memories. Was Lu Guang at Bahati before he was adopted? Did Cheng Weiming travel to Bahati before to handle business there? Was he originally from Bridon/Bahati and move to China later? Was Cheng Weiming quietly relocating these kids? You mean to tell me that there was a secret police divition in Bridon that investigated people with powers that disbanded because of an incident with a fire? And they're expecting me to believe that isn't related in the least with the fire at Bahati? Yeah, I don't think so. It's too big to be a mere coincidence, unconnected; and it does make the whole mystery with Bahati more and more interesting, with the way all things are pointing to it with neon lights to let us know something weird is going on there. I screamed when I saw that Liu Xiao was the one that was recommending Xia Fei for the role, and was now in the same room as Qiao Lin. I need our girl Xiao Ling to run out of that place so fast.

Yes liu xiao has indeed meet cxs and lg in the airport scene in bridon arc, but also I remember that lg also mention that they were not supposed to meet liu xiao in the airport but they did anyways cuz of the time altering stuff, so I assume that means lg knows who liu xiao is in the other timeline(s)? Oh and also I remember liu xiao also picking up lg heartbeat beating too fast that he grown suspicious on him so i think theres more to that. 😭

Yesss, that's right -- so much to think on with that! Thank you for reminding me on that and for the comment!

The moment I saw that image - it was perfect to use as a thumbnail! Yes! Thank you! I do appreciate how it’s slowly starting to connect – maybe it’s like TBHX, just let it ride out until the threads connect together! 😛 And yeah, I’m not sure how Li Haolin is going to make this all connect together and for Lu Guang to “win” (if that’s possible) in the end! I guess we shall see, eh? And yeah, Xia Fei is definitely in with Vein and Co. To what extent? I guess THAT is now the question. And yeah, he kind of has been a “villain” all along, hasn’t he? Oh, I am the MOST nervous that CXS’s parents are going to be the TRUE villains at the end of all this - why not make Cheng Xiaoshi have THE MOST angst in this story? LG, The Bridon Trio, his family…just…why not give him the most angst? Li Haolin wouldn’t do that! And with his dad having potentially THOSE abilities? Nahhh not cool. Memory messing with is one of my LEAST favorite tropes, so the idea of this man having it as an ability? Hell no. Get him out of here. That idea of LG being altered by his ability too is pretty terrifying! Yeahhhh not fun. The proverbial poop is about to hit the fan with LG and it makes me so nervous! That whole thing about Bahati and the Bridon police force is incredibly convenient and seems entirely connected, yes! I really want to know more with that as well! But yeah, NOPE. LX in the room with QL? NOPE NOPE NOPE. Someone protect our girl! Thank you for the comment!!
