in my opinion you should read the manga , this episode it's probably my least favorite so far.

Loved the reaction and discussion! Can’t believe we’re on the penultimate episode. 🥹 Various things I loved: Yes, how supportive the band-club members were 🥰 That whole entire Tono and Kasamachi scene was stunning and hilarious! Loved seeing your journey with Tono, that sweet bean 🥰 Asa taking the ‘write whatever’ journaling advice as absolute wisdom and Makio not even remembering saying it… Makioooo 😂 … Themes of resistance?! 🤣 Have been ever present in this show, but that Tono & Kasamachi conversation is just bursting at the seams with it! Amazing discussion! 🫶 I also loved them talking about the ways they both have, at different times in their life, refused to continue to participate in a system which demanded their conformity and obedience (and how dehumanising that kind of performative masculinity felt to them). But also that they address how much that resistance took from them, and I think it is fascinating to get those cuts to the baseball team: because while for Tono and Kasamachi all of this is in the past and they are in better places now, someone else is suffering through the painful beginning of that process. I also wonder what it felt like for Kasamachi to listen to Tono and know that Tono was young when he resisted actively (and apparently loudly!), while it took Kasamachi much longer. Most of all in this episode, I just love the way we see Asa ‘tending to’ her loneliness/her desert. 🥹 We’ve had a number of conversations earlier where Asa sort of expected Makio to deal with it on Asa's behalf or tell Asa what to do, and Makio didn’t even stop at not doing those things – she went further and openly said she couldn’t relate. And to now have the contrast of Asa taking control of her own internality this way is such amazing progress: no longer seeking rescue elsewhere but learning to care for herself, all those little indicators of self-care and self-compassion (the lantern, the watering can, the warmer clothing, actual boots where previously sometimes she was just in her socks). This scene always makes me cry because I just feel so proud of Asa and how far she has come. 🥹 I would, of course, be here for any manga reviews/reactions at any time if you choose to do them. 🥰 Amaze-amaze-amaze! 🥰 Looking forward to the next episode! 💙🌵

I am so excited for the last episode, but not ready to be caught up for the time being. @_@ The Band Club is so supportive and kind - I love them so much! Yessss, my journey with Tono has been so fun; I love it! And him and Kasamichi becoming friends is so wonderful; I love their dynamic so much. Their conversation was just so much fun to dissect; I just feel so inspired by them and for them in this episode! Asa and the journal has been a full circle moment leading to this episode – her “tending” to her loneliness was so beautifully symbolized with the water can and the lantern. The growth of our girl is so beautiful and I agree; I’m so proud of Asa taking charge of her life in this moment! I definitely have a plan for the manga, and I’ll talk about it next week, but thank you so much for the comment and support! AMAZE-AMAZE-AMAZE! I’m so ready (and not) for the final next week!

As a fellow manga reader, I highly agree. The anime maintained a good standard initially, but from episode 11 onwards, it couldn't do the manga justice.
