Bluesky/PixivApparently, Byleth's taken so long that there's been time to completely switch over to a different kind of art format entirely.===============================================================Extra Links:- Dorothea Hung on the Line by DaAussie===============================================================The Creator's Mindset:- I actually had to remake this. In my first render initially, I was racking my head, unable to shake the feeling as though something was off. Dorothea was actually blurry and her proportions in comparison to the original were off by a lot, looking back at it, so I decided to redo it.• To ensure a character as a texture doesn't appear blurry, I really need to remember to take a high resolution render of them.• Using sculpt mode in combination with a rigged plane is a risky, but potentially rewarding way to iron out some finer details. Without this discovery, Dorothea's figure and posing probably wouldn't resemble the original's look as much as it does. The redo actually helped me understand this more.- Once again, the illusion of perspective comes into play here. Neither the wire or pins holding Dorothea up are actually connected at all; the shot is taken from a certain angle in order to make it seem that way.===============================================================Trivia and Extra Tidbits:1. Friends:- So, a little bit of backstory here. I'm actually the reason why DaAussie drew Dorothea as the subject in his original piece. He initially drew an outline of the pose Dorothea's in, then asked me who it should be. I could've said anyone, provided the design wasn't overly complicated, but at the time, I was eagerly waiting for Dorothea's model to be ported from Three Houses, so I asked for her.- I'm also the one who created the edit of the text box for the original piece. Initially, it was a template we found that had Edelgard, but was otherwise blank. It took me a lot of work in Photoshop to cleanly replace Edelgard with the sad Dorothea portrait.- I'm also the one who provided DaAussie with the lens flare used in the original.- This remake was apparently accurate enough that a couple of friends I sent this to actually thought I had just sent them the original drawing for a moment. When my recreations make people second guess themselves, that makes me happy.2. Gallery:- DaAussie is now the fourth unique artist to have a recreation of their work in my gallery.3. In Game:- The text box and font inside are the same ones from Three Houses.===============================================================Credits:- Characters: Dorothea Arnault (Fire Emblem: Three Houses).
