Veronica's Invocation (Patreon)

Bluesky/PixivWhat interesting ruins. Maybe you should go pray inside so that you can be blessed with good fortune. Or so they say.===============================================================The Creator's Mindset:- Since the model's not official, I took it upon myself to add some suitable bump maps to the clothing myself. They'd look nice, if only you'd see it since Veronica is completely textured anyways.- I was going to just download a pillar model and flatten it, but then I decided it would be easier to model one myself and duplicate it. So I took a look at the in game mural and modeled it with no trouble, even providing a texture that I scaled a bit and completely color changed to make it look similar to the one in game.- Those with a sharp eye might notice not only outlines on the pillars, but Veronica too. Giving outlines to models is something I figured out some time ago and it works rather effectively here to give off that painted feel.===============================================================Trivia and Extra Tidbits:1. Friends:- This was a suggestion from KyutaFCA after I posted a Discord status saying that I really wanted to make some art, but couldn't settle on any ideas. She'd been digging for a model of adult Veronica for forever, so when she finally found it and I showed her that it worked, I'd bet she was really happy, and even happier that I decided to make this as a gift.2. Gallery:- Out all of the posters on my page, this is the first profile flattening I've done. Honestly, I think they need more love.- Dragon Quest is the 20th unique franchise to be featured in the gallery, whether it be scenery or characters, assuming Super Smash Bros doesn't count.3. In Game:- This is a concept and recreation based off of the mural in the Ruins of Nhou Wat, which is actually a gateway to another dimension, trapping people so that their souls may be stolen and added to the fresco. KyutaFCA suggested that of course, Veronica should become part of the wall painting too.===============================================================Credits:- Characters: Veronica (Dragon Quest XI).
