PixivWe're going to need a lot more resurrection stones at this rate.===============================================================The Creator's Mindset:- This model was an absolute nightmare to work with.• I spent hours repairing it, removing the bone constraints on the legs and manually adjusting the meshes because they were disjointed or not even connected at all. I actually did a head swap with another model I readily had available because I liked the face's appearance better and thought it suited the Elsword style much more. Still, even with that, I sculpted the face to make its shape a lot softer.• On top of this, because of that sculpting, this meant that the irises no longer had bones to move them around or size them up. Then again, the blanks for eyes was something I had to overlay on top of them anyways. Not a big deal, but what was a big deal was the fact that the shape keys for expressions would now make the facial meshes clip into each other, so I had to fix up the mouth too. The things I do for the franchises I love...- Getting this to be transparent was a really big deal since I encountered some more strange problems as usual with these darn transparent GIFs.• Premiere Pro doesn't seem to read transparent pixels as well, transparency, and instead outputs black. This means that I need to essentially give my render a green screen which can be converted to transparent pixels when put into Photoshop. The problem here is that the boulders turn transparent when they bowl right over Aisha so you can see her, but that also means the boulders' color gets messed around with due to the green screen.• For whatever reason, Photoshop detected transparent pixels as black even after I did a lot of tinkering, so I had to manually delete the black backgrounds on the affected frames myself. Initially, when I did this, I deleted the backgrounds all at once, and it didn't work. I was stumped, but after advancing the timeline frame per frame and deleting the backgrounds then, that's when it worked. Technology is so freaking weird sometimes.- So, I realized I wouldn't have the boulder's model from the game at my disposal, but I did get a bright idea for how I could take its texture. I actually took a screenshot of the one in game, cropped out a part of it, then projected it over the mesh I made myself, then carefully wove it around and presto, suddenly I had a very convincing texture, even if it wasn't exactly the same.===============================================================Trivia and Extra Tidbits:1. In Game:- This is a reference to the secret dungeon in Bethma, Dragon Nest: Abyss. If you played through a secret dungeon and encountered Luto, you'd be taken to a harder version of it. However, Dragon Nest: Abyss was special in that it had a lot more unique stage effects applied and one of them was that all the small boulders after the first large one sent down on the second hill were replaced by the large ones only. Heck, they'd even start rolling the other direction and squish your character that way (Which I also considered a possibility for how to get this to loop).- Aisha's pose is a reference to her actual pose for being knocked down onto her back in game.- The icon floating above Aisha is the status effect symbol for being flattened.- All of the sound effects are the same ones from Elsword.===============================================================Credits:- Characters: Aisha Landar, Dimension Witch (Elsword).
