As the corruption spreads, some characters have already been transformed β€” like Abigail, who became a goblin during the rave.

But here's the big question:Should these transformations be permanent? Or should there be a way to reverse them later in the story?

Let me know what you think!

How about, some characters can go back, others stay corrupted, and a few, well, you could potentially corrupt them more! Like how after the werewolf quest that one girl is ya-know a werewolf girl, make it so you could potentially corrupt her more and rope in her friend, and mayhaps lead to a choice where you can choose a 'bad' end and have a threesome, or go on the hunt to corrupt one more person to have join the two and get double the power potions, that are extra strength too!

While I know I have already voted but I still got something in my noggin to share: How about the corruption merely makes Micah susceptible to the idea of transformation like considering the option and more accepting of it (like locking the no for all) and once it's high, the potential/theoretical final transformation by Zendaria can be unlocked as well. Making his dialogue affected dynamically but for the sake of simplicity, the change should only happen at certain amount of corruption rather than bloat the dialogue tree with every single tiny changes and options. Also reversing transformation merely helps Micah to counter the locking out mechanism with a simple morality balance. Like all corruption points are permanently changes Micah's outlook on transformation and things but morality points helps him progress and change the potential outcome (with good morality points would result a good ending but necessarily for the true ending. That's where the corruption would play.) So yeah, I may have rambled and scrambled this one but I felt it's a good idea to share this idea with you. EDIT: Maybe Morality and Willpower. Corruption decreases Willpower stat but good actions and/or some other methods increases willpower. Corruption is still permanent. Still fumbling due to still recovering from sickness.

I think a little bit of it should be character dependent, but overall irreversible

I love ideas like we can get them back but also they can fall right back into being transformed again. Either a new way or falling back into the same trap.

I think that the physical stuff should be irreversable, but the awareness of the corruption should. Changing someone fro. A guy to a girl on a biological level (even using magic to do it.) Is far more involved than the mental manipulation. I mean swapping a chromosome from xy to xx and then having a child is a pretty massive swap. But going from normal person to "man i reeealy love goblin dick." And back seems far more realistic.

Full transformations where someone is completely transformed should definitely remain permanent and irreversible. In my opinion I feel like it would ruin a lot of the tone of the world that has been built up so far if people can just be turned back. I think it would make most of the transformations/corruptions immediately lose the power, weight and consequence that they currently have if you know it can just potentially be reversed and undone. The reason why scenes like Abigail turning into a goblin and many other scenes work so well for me is because of its permanence and knowing there is no going back for them. But again this is all just my opinion, the whole permanent corruption and transformation angle is one of the main things that got me interested in this game in the first place, so would be disappointing if an aspect of that is removed. Though I would be fine with something like you managing to save someone before they finish the full transformation/corruption process and maybe turning them partially back though with consequence depending on how far along they were in the transformation they will still clearly keep some effects of it such as intelligence/manner of speech altered, instincts/desires, gender changed or just parts of their body still transformed etc. Or some rare fully changed individuals who managed to fight off/cleanse some of the corruption through your input or their own effort, though still forced to remain in their fully transformed body and still feeling the urges from their form and remnants of the corruption, for example someone who transformed into a goblin who manages to suppress their new nature and wants to re-join society does so but with their still goblin form where they now struggle with being civilised, speaking to people normally and even understanding concepts and words that they once knew, unable to do their old job they could go from something like a renowned smart scholar or considered high class job to instead now working in a brothel or tavern, with them also having a constant urge to leave and join up instead with other goblins. There could also be more temporary transformation scenes that can be undone like becoming the maid in the vampire area for example, the party uses a magical disguise, transforming into something else to infiltrate somewhere. But the disguise slowly begins corrupting everyone while they're using it, though the party returns to normal afterward. With the direction going that some characters might be more influenced than others, forcing you to find a way to stop or treat it before it's too late, with some possibly fully transforming the disguise becoming their new true form. Or something like a fairy or pixie uses magic to transform an individual or everyone and if they manage to resist the new urges and feelings the spell eventually wears off and they turn back if not they are transformed permanently. One more possible scenario you can potentially go with that can feature a sort of undo for the corruption/transformation though could be pretty dark if you want it to be is to have the corrupted get body swapped with a normal person an example being a quest involves you finding information from someone but they have already been transformed/corrupted and unable to communicate it to you, so you find a body swap spell or something and choose to essentially sacrifice someone to body swap with them with their new body now free from the corruption they might slowly regain themselves with a lot of guidance and teaching though probably with remnants remaining but enough to give you the information you need. It could even only be temporary before the corruption takes hold again, while the other person now in the corrupted body takes the full brunt of the corruption and quickly loses themself to it and if even if you manage to swap them back again the damage is already done with their body potentially getting transformed shortly afterwards anyway so suit their new mentality. Wasn't originally intended to write this much for this but just decided to throw some more potential ideas out there anyway since it's kind of related and I get a bit carried away sometimes lol

I like the idea that you can reverse it but there are irreversible side effects

Thanks for taking the time for commenting! You are right. I also believe that FULLY transformed characters should NOT come back. Thanks for the ideas. <3

Hi there, new patron just seeing this now, but felt like I should comment. I think it would be cool if the MC, due to some degree of magical protection mechanic, be able to temporarily transform into, say, a goblin girl etc. to progress the story, but with potential lingering side effects. I'm just playing through the game now (0.4.3) but the goblin quest could have a couple branching ends - the existing one, or being transformed into a goblin girl to infiltrate the camp and get the elf girl out with potential other bad ends baked into it. But yeah, that's probably a lot of extra work... The other suggestion I have would be to add on a bad end theater into the existing one. Like the game so far!

RE: Theater content, I guess Micah's goblinification scene wouldn't work because its a playable BE, but I see the others I've found so far in there. Sorry for any spoilers.
