For this week’s Friday Poll, I’d like to ask about player choice and narrative consistency, specifically regarding Micah and Gina’s relationship.

Right now, some sex scenes are obligatory, and I’ve been thinking about whether it would make more sense to add a “NO” option to these scenes. This could better reflect Micah’s relationship with Gina, since without player choice it can feel like Micah is constantly cheating on her, even when that may not fit how some players want to roleplay the story.Poll Question:Do you think obligatory sex scenes should include a “NO” option to better match Micah and Gina’s relationship?

I personally don't care either way, but having there be an option would work to keep a lot of people way more immersed when it comes to how they view the relationship and what it means in canon

I personally don't mind either way. If you wanted nuance or people to feel they had a choice have three options. Option 1 being yes, option two being no and option three being a "no...?" Where micah says no but he doesn't get a real choice.

I like the potential for a choice. I think people are understanding if you don't make a distinction right now, but later on, it makes that choice impactful. As long as there is a commitment to developing the story either way. Corruption story first, faithful story later, potential for middle grounds. A game has choice and consequences, a narrative one-track story does not. Although if you had a gimmick for a faithful-yet-still-does-sex mechanic, that is fair. Requires some fiddly storytelling though, which will be extremely hard.

I don’t mind either way, but I see it more as the corrupting nature of this world Micah has been sucked into. There is also some limited choice already in the game, such as when Griska wants to sit on his face.

I think it would be neat if there was a corruption stat, tracking how many times Micah has done it, influencing their relationship, but I know that would be a huge project in of itself.

I feel like if people wanted to have Micah be more loyal to Gina for RP reasons it would be a great choice. I never really thought about it until the other part of the twins quests.
