Redemption. (Patreon)

Nudity is something society is against, and most social media as well. But traditional art has mostly been a safe place for nudity, in many times, and in many cultures.Arguable what makes nudity immoral is making money out of it, and bad quality.I would call this the OnlyFans syndrome, where the model is making content just for money sake, with no concern for quality.I'd argue that introducing a photographer into the equation can help improving quality and reducing the direct link to economic relation, making the end product more akin to the old relationship between muse and artist. In the past the artist (painter or sculptor) was an artisan with great skills, and the model was just a muse. This separation of roles was beneficial for Art.Now that models can do everything alone with their smartphone, or have their boyfriend snap some pictures with no idea what they are doing, it might be more empowering and remunerative for them, but the artistry is suffering.
So I think the only way to redemption from cheap p0rnography (albeit sometimes it is very expensive), is to separate more the two roles, on the one hand the model more as a muse than a creator, and on the other hand the photographer more as an artist. And both concentrating in developing their respective craft.
