Models are strange creatures, unfathomable most of the time, you never know what's on their minds and if you are in their graces or not, if they really want to work with you or if it is just about the money, if they are not replying to messages because they are thinking about your proposal or because they are angry with you for whatever reason.I guess the models could say the same about photographers, especially when they try to be polite and give false motivations for not wanting to work with them. The world would be easier if we all wold just speak out and say what we think...
For these reasons, you should always jump at the opportunity to work with models you like, because you never know what the future is going to bring. And you have to be honest with models about your reasons why you don't want to work with them.Anyway, notwithstanding her strange way of posing that drives me mad, I would love to work again with Elfa (in today's picture), if she is not to scared from our last photoshoot in the Ex Manicomio di Monbello.Like all the other picture from this shooting, this was shot on the Fujifilm GFX 50S II + "Martin" (the Zeiss T* 1,4/85mm Planar ZF named after the Patron that sponsored part of the purchase), possibly not the ideal camera to capture this randomly moving subject, but surely the one that gives the best results in color pictures.
And this brings us to the model with which I'm working today in Milano, Dovile.I always loved her style, and the way she poses without inhibitions, and I like the experience as well as the results, which is a rare equilibrium. She does reply to messages, although in her own time, and I try to work with her when she comes in the right season. In fact, I can't get enough of her, even if I'm posting few photos of our work together. It is going to be a busy Weekend for me, with a concert and possibly a trip to the mountains with friends, but I will try to give you a taste from this new shooting with Dovile tomorrow, I promise.
