First day with Maria! (Patreon)
Content
About yesterday with Maria, the first day shooting, the bonus picture of today is how the day finished...Whilst we were coming back on the motorway, the radiator exploded and the refrigerant liquid filled the windscreen. She was shocked, but I know my car is old, so I just switched off the engine and costed with the momentum until we reached the emergency lay-by area. From there we called the tow truck with the insurance number.Fortunately we had finished our job for the day, just over 3,5 hours shooting in the abandoned hospital, and a trip to the nearest shopping mall to buy some food for Maria. When I finally reached home (my wife acted as a taxi from the mechanic for Maria first and for me after), I downloaded and secured 1,111 frames from 4 different cameras, and started preparing for tomorrow.Today's shooting was supposed to be the hardest, furthest location but also the best overall, the longest time shooting, and ended up being even more tasking than imagined due to the brake down of the car.Tomorrow we're going to take it easy, and shoot in an abandoned factory which is much nearer, and we're going to use the Seven to get there.Whilst the last day, Monday, we're planning to reach our last destination by foot from her hotel, another nudist beach, but not the same of last year.
Even if I was distracted by the brake down, she was impressed by how calm I was in this crisis, but I explained to her that was just an inconvenience, whilst the really important thing was to document her beauty, and that went pretty well!
On the 16th (today) I woke up a little earlier than expected, so I prepared one photo from the 15th of Maria in the abandoned hospital from the first day of shooting. This was shot on the Leica SL-2S + the Leica ELMARIT-R 1:2.8/135mm (the last of the 4 Leitz-R lenses I purchased at the beginning of 2026 to be equipped with the protective filter in front) and I start getting why they were so appreciated at the time.In this photo of Maria, the lens is not bitingly sharp, albeit you can still see the single eyelash resting on her cheek from several meters away, because I was in the garden and looking in this large corridor through the window frame you can spot on the right of the composition. This gentle rendering is highly suitable for portraits, and I think I'm going to use it also today, the 16th, also because the 180mm lens is too heavy to take with me, now that the Mazda is out of duty and I have to rely on the Seven alone...
Maria is in great shape, as stunning as last year, perfectly tanned and with no major tan-lines to show.
I will tell you more in the next days, but now I have to get back to work!Have a great day, I will.
