🎨 WATERCOLOR SUPPLIES:
PAPER: Arches Cold Pressed 140lbs 100% cotton paper, 12 x 12 inches. In think you can easily fit it on 10 x 10 or 9 x 12 as well:)
BRUSHES: I am using Escoda Chronos synthetic rounds in sizes #0, #2 and #4.
Pencil 2-4H and eraser.
WATERCOLOR PIGMENTS {Limited Palette}:
VIOLET: I used Perylene Violet from Daniel Smith or another brand {PV29}. It is well regarded for it's richness, deep hues, and excellent lightfastness. It also mixes well with other colors, particularly in a charging scenario. Unlike other pigments, I won't recommend a substitute as it is a part of my core palette. You could try Quinacridone Violet from QOR by Golden; it's more vibrant than Perylene Violet, but leans more towards browns {as opposed to Quinacridone Violet from N&W which would be too cool and vivid for this composition}.
PINK #1: I used Quinacridone Magenta from QOR {PR122}. For a less vivid effect, you can use any of the cool Quinacridone Pinks, including Permanent Rose from Winsor & Newton {PV19}, Quinacridone Lilac or even a warmer Quinacridone Pink from Daniel Smith {PV 42}.
GREEN-ish YELLOW: I am using Green Gold from Daniel Smith. It's a convenience mix of and Nickel Azo Yellow, Hansa Yellow Light {often referred to as Lemon Yellow}, and Phthalo Green PY 150, PY 3, PG 36. You can mix your own variation with a bit of yellow and green of your choice
PURPLE: I used Dioxazine Purple from QOR. Alternative: A mixture of Magenta and Blue, Imperial Purple DS or any purple of your choice.
BLUE: I used Indanthrone Blue from QOR. You can try any blue pigment of your choice, particularly Phthalo Blue Red Shade aka Winsor Blue Red Shade, although it may be a bit too vibrant here.
