Welcome to the Red Rose Line & Wash Technique Demo! ๐ŸŒน This approach combines loose watercolor washes with expressive ink lines, resulting in a whimsical and vibrant style. This is a quick experimental painting I created immediately following the live "Drawing for Watercolor Artists" session - a spontaneous experimental practice time rather than a structured tutorial. You can find the full drawing session with narration in the Drawing for Watercolor Artists collection: https://www.patreon.com/collection/1666609

Like all my demos, this piece is meant purely as inspiration. Feel free to use any reds and purples from your own palette - my materials are listed below for reference.

If you're looking for guided tutorials with voice-over, here are so many options:

Enjoy the process!

MEDIUM RED #1: I am using Quinacridone Red (PV19) from QoR https://amzn.to/43iZ12D Any of your favorite reds will work! For example, Carmine from Daniel Smith has a very similar in hue. You can also go with Quinacridone Magenta for a cooler variation.

MEDIUM RED #2: I am using Carmine (PR 176) from Daniel Smith. Its very close to the PV19 above, and you likely don't need both. Any medium red of your choice will work!
