Hi All and Happy Monday!

Thank you again for voting on the next grapes subject:) I wanted to quickly connect to Patreon and share a few process shots with you. As you probably guessed, this is just a wet-on-wet underpainting stage. As it is common for the first layer, things are still looking quite messy, and there is very little variation in value (light vs  dark). But with just 1 extra layer, we will bring the foreground objects into focus and add a lot more variation in values and color temperature. There will be a lot more pinks of course - and that is what will help "create" the purple when mixed with blue underpainting:) See you soon with the first video and the rest of the grapes.

Have a great day!

Oh, I can already tell this is going to be spectacular! Can’t wait! That under layer is the hardest part for me. I always go too heavy with paint:)

Stunning work already Anna!

Thank you Cindy! I just finished layer #2 - just one more and I'll start posting (it will be a bit longer than my usual but so much fun!)

Thank you Julie! I am on layer #3 now, but will spend some extra time explaining the first one - the why and how and maybe some alternative approaches - it is definitely the most stressful step for me too, especially on a multi-colored painting like this, but so worth it! ❤️
