I just finished editing the 1st chapter of the Blue Orchids tutorial - it will be out tomorrow 😊 our PATREON version will be slightly larger (12 x 12) than the study you may have seen on YouTube (9x12) featuring a few extra background flowers as well as dragon flies. For your convenience you can focus on all - or a few segments of the painting (skip some flowers, add a bird instead of dragonflies etc) the key technique we will practice is of course Wet-on-Damp 💙 Enjoy!

Thank you Suzanne, Mine is 12 by 12 inches Arches block {same I've been using for all latest tutorials} But any square format would work , slightly larger or smaller :)

I am so looking forward to this! I was hoping you would drop s tutorial like this after the blue orchid YT video you posted the other day.I tried to master painting blue orchids a few years ago with no luck. They looked too cartoonish/2D to me (as most of my work looks to me for my entire artistic journey so far).

Your tutorials made me love pinks/magentas in watercolor (I don't really like pink) BUT I'm soooo excited for these blues & purples & dragonflies! Orchids are my favorite flower and they have such a cool varieties of colors, shapes & textures between the different species. Would love to see your interpretation of them!
