Hi everyone! I am dropping by to share an early preview of our April tutorial, and extend my warm welcome to all new Patrons who joined this month 💗

Did you know that Sweat Pea is the official April Birth Flower? 🌸 I am delighted to share our April composition work-in-progress - just the first layer for now, I will be adding 2nd and 3rd over the weekend, and dedicate it to everyone in this wonderful group who was born this month 🎉

🎨 Note on the dragonfly: I received many questions about the dragonfly I added to our February orchid tutorial. It was way too small to create an effective instruction video from… so I decided to add a larger version of it here - so we can paint it together step by step! And of course I will provide a separate outline so you can paint it as a standalone piece or add to a different flower if your choice 😊

🎨 I am thinking of making it a series - monthly birth flower to be included in all compositions for the rest of the year - could be fun! What do you think?

🎨 tomorrow is Friday so in addition to finishing this watercolor, I will be catching up on all direct messages and comments 💗 Thank you for your patience and have a wonderful weekend ahead!

Thank you 🤩

Oh yay!! I'm doing this for my bullet journal already and the sweet pea was a little tricky. Definitely looking forward to trying by myself first, then seeing how a 'pro' would paint the flowers - super helpful for learning! And so looking forward to the dragonfly! Also - welcome the newbies 😊 it's great here!

I have just started to paint and I'm really glad that I found you , you have exact that teknik that I want to paint. I started with the lilac hyacint and have give it three chances and I'm not satisfied yet, I' m want to paint it again but I also what to paint some other of your painting, so it's a great idea to let the monthly flower come again cause then I can practice many time but in other composition

Theresa

Beautiful idea, reminds me of The Book of Flowers and their meanings.

Richard Diego Sander

What a great idea Anna to publish a monthly serie flowers. I like it! 🏖🏝🎨

Monalisa Mackey

Whatever you paint is always lovely, Anna 😊💕 A painting idea just popped into my head that I would love to see sometime…I think a painting of a seahorse with a cluster of beautiful coral and an open oyster with a beautiful pearl so we can work on the iridescent colour of the inside of the shell and the pearl with a background wash of sea colour. I think with your style of painting it would be a lovely subject for a painting sometime, please 🙏🏻

Sheila Spain

Very excited for this tutorial. Looks lovely. Your composition is always so balances yet full We egarly await.

Shari

Hello Anna :) Could you add the drawing in black and white of this beatiful picture please ? Thank you !

Anna Bucciarelli

Of course I will! But first i need to finish 2nd and 3rd layer of color and add some stems:) As always, the outlines will be provided as part of the video tutorial!

Anna Bucciarelli

Thank you Sheila! Just finished the dragonfly details, Working on the flowers today:) Will post soon. Have a wonderful day!

Anna Bucciarelli

Welcome Marie-Louise! Thank you for joining us. Painting something 2 or even 3x times is my favouite way of practicing and learning - The first time is always an exploration:) Please note, the lilac was one of my very very early videos that I transferred from Youtube to Patreon in full length - it may lack the depth of instruction and video quality that you will find in more recent classes from the past 2 years. With Patreon support I've been able to significantly upgrade my audio and video quality so you may find these much easier to follow. Thank you for your feedback and have a wonderful day!

Vicky Ochoa

Hi Anna, I have been looking at the fuchsia tutorial but today it would not let me in without some silly tests…can you help me please

Anna Bucciarelli

Hi Pauline - I just responded over there to your comment. Sorry the platform is asking you these questions. I’ve never heard of this. unfortunately I am not able to address PATREON IT issues from my side as I am just a user like you. If this persists please reach out to PATREON support!

Pauline Irwin

Ok thanks…about the partridge…I have managed to finish it and I really enjoyed doing it…I am thinking of doing it again as I can see my mistakes and my Green Apatite genuine is on its way!!! But after the fuchsia!

Hi! I'm new to the site so I don't know when new tutorials are posted. When will the tutorial for this beautiful painting be available to us? Thanks!

Sherry Baker

Question-what size is this paper? How can I print it if it's bigger than normal copy paper? Sorry, I'm not very techy, lol. Thanks!

Erika Lacroix

Beautiful work Anna and a wonderful birthday theme. I can't wait for mine in, October. I will wait for this to drop. I'm new to your patreon and couldn't be happier. Right now I am doing your grapes. It is harder than I'd imagined, but I've only done some washes, trying to blend different tones (lightly) for later light and shadings, etc. Very cool,. Ty again

Anna Bucciarelli

Welcome to the channel James! Thank you for supporting my work. Marigold and Cosmos are your birthday flowers - I think I am leaning towards marigold because its more complex {and i like complex:) So you picked the grapes - oh my! I think its one of the most complex layering exercises I've done but it's super fun if you are into slow glazing. Enoy!!

James Michael Thaxton, CSFA

Ha! Oh will do. Marigold and cosmos' are October. So excited. Though I love cosmos and have grown them from seed all my life, so interest the link, you know. Yes marigolds would be a GREAT challenge. Xo ty Anna
