Glad he's telling someone about Tommy boy, and Juno is someone that will have his back through the bullshit. She hates volde almost as much as harry does. Maybe gellert will give them both some tutoring.

Ordeal

I just hope that the situation will the diary will not escalate to some bullshit. I get that it's to progress the plot and to give you something to work with, but simply destroying it would have been much more satisfying. A sticking charm? Really? Harry already knew that direct magic doesn't work on it, displayed as such with the failed shrinking charm, why did he think a sticking charm would work? And he didn't have a pocked big enough to put it in? Didn't Harry go to Malfoy gala for the diary in the first place? Why didn't he prepare a way to hide it in the first place? A mokeskin pauch would have sufficed. IDK, it seems that it's just one big potholes and Harry being a dumdum.

Ordeal

I've read the author note at the end of the chapter, and I agree that it's good to keep a consistent character, but I still hate how the situation devolved.

That’s a lazy forced way to have the diary go missing for plot purposes tbh… besides that everything is good as usual

It's human and understandable to make a mistake when nervous and your adrenaline is pumping sky high as Harry's likely was. He'll just have to learn from this unfortunate mistake... and also remember how running in half cocked never really worked out well for him in his part life lol
