A bit chunkier and later chapter than usual, but I closed my eyes to take a short nap and a few hours sort of passed. Anyway, introducing a new PoV always feels tricky and slow, but I think I did good here--don't shy to give me your thoughts.You can read the previous chapters in the collection.

I curse you for the cliffhanger, waiting for the next chapter will be torture. Good chapter...even if you take extra time until the "bad guys" show up in the last paragraph. Hehe and aren't they in for a rude awakening, whether with flame or steel...their end will come. The big question after that is just how annoyed Jon will be...and of course the consequences with the rest of the House of Dragons.

It’s so funny that in the end everything that happens is merely an obstacle to Jon trying to fish!! Omg they want to marry the girls and claim Driftmark that way? And Rhaenys would certainly defend their claims over her “grandsons”! RIP to that brave monkey. He was so bold and fierce but absolutely at the mercy of those stronger than him. Ok, if you had this scene in mind then finding Longclaw was a must. Jon is good, but half naked against armored knights would be very difficult without a Valyrian steel sword. As predicted the 5 are going to play a key role in the unveiling of Jon. The only question is if the Bronze Fury will play a role as well, I can see scenarios in which Jon rescues both without using his dragon, however it would be nicer for the plot imho if his bonding is discovered.

I assumed that Jon would witness them being kidnapped and help, which would force him into the story. I hadn't imagine that they'd want to eliminate witnesses and basically doom themselves lol.

Right time to introduce some conflict. We’ve gotten a good look at “Bassmaster” Jon, but the story was ready to start the main plot. When those two knights go off to kill Jon, does anyone else get “Billy Madison, now you’re all in big, big trouble” vibes?

I'm going to be honest, not liking this one. The chapters seem to ramble on with nothing really happening. I preferred the get shit done tone that SD had with every chapter, it always felt like the plot was moving on.

I just want Jon to enter the main hall in Dragonstone completely drenched in blood with a brown bag. Then, after releasing the 5 heads from the bag to the floor, Rhaenyra's voice fills the hall: "What do you think you're doing?" And Jon just walks off and says: "Killing Monsters." :D Otherwise, I curse the wait but am happy to have something to look forward to.

Gonna be hilarious when Jon comes over the hill covered in others' blood. He's gonna be pissed that they got him involved in all of this.

Vermithor has never attacked a human…I guess we know what people are going to find very interesting in the future. Not sure how I feel about Rhaena for now. She seems to match well with Grey Ghost personality wise, but I hope she can find courage and tame Silverwing

Jon's explanation of the sword was poeticallty truthful and brilliant. Men have created certain things with the sole intent to kill men; Atomic bomb, chemical weapons, swords, guns, etc. Looking forward to next week's chapter. Painful cliffhanger.

I really really REALLY want the Dragons to show up in the next chapter. We’ve seen Grey Ghost and Vermithor enter the chat. Can Cannibal have a turn next? Haha. Also, I hope Jon gets to F their S upppppp. This story is awesome! Bring on the crackness. I also really like forward to seeing how Daemon and Jon get on together. With Jon being so much older than Rhaena, I feel like Jon is going to need a degree of chaotic maturity. I also feel like Daemon could use a humbling.
