Mostly on time... or not too late of a chapter. Normal-sized. I'm not entirely happy with it, but I fit everything I planned to write. As usual, this last arc continues being far more serious/dark thematically. Let me know what you think in the comments below.Anyway, you can read the previous chapters in the collection.

It really is an even fight now. The twins can gang up on Denys and leave the heavyweight fight to Jon. But again, you're just dancing on the very edge of Jon going stiff and shouting "how did you find out about Rhaegar?!"

i would like to say that Daeron didn´t deserved that end.. it would have been better to simply defeat him in honorable single combat, it would have gave him more legitimacy..

I enjoyed the chapter. It seemed a lighter read than others but a lot happened. Rhaena staking her claim to Jon over her sister, and losing her temper when she suggested a double marriage, was well done. Am I the only one thinking that Baela will go for Cregan? He’s very similar to Jon and it would firmly tie the North, the most standoffish of the Kingdoms, to the throne. i was sorry to see Daeron die. He was the best of Alicent’s sons. But as a practical matter, he never would have stopped fighting so Jon was clear-eyed in what he needed to do. Corlys is doing his best but he’s made his bed. I really do think he’ll be focused on restoring House Velaryon. It’s really all that’s left of his legacy. Besides, in a way he’s won though he took a very roundabout way of getting there [despite his poor decision making]. His granddaughter is queen and his descendants will rule Westeros. Thanks for writing.

I am chuffed at Jon's portable weirwood Heartree and it being delivered via dragon. The fact it was carved into a laughing tree, if in mockery, is also nice.

Baela is jealous of her sisters stark hubby so shes gonna hop in cregans pants and marry him. Gotta establish the north's loyalty beyond having a stark king by having stark dragons too. They were promised a princess weren't they? Plus hes probably the only man who could handle her lol

I feel that if Baela marries Cregan, the lords won't be very happy and will feel that the king is favoring the North too much. I mean, a Stark king and a Targaryen bride for the North, who also happens to have a dragon.

Enjoyed the read, but Baela not marrying Jon? I think the justification being made in the story is not enough. Like the she’s like my sister move won’t work lmao. GRRM’s original story with Jon and Arya being in a love triangle and Jon sleeping with Daenerys smashes any reservations that he could possibly have. All the crap that happened in the dance was simply because dragons kept leaving the main family. I think the fear of a second Maegor is just not there since Baela and Rhaena’s kids can just married each other. I doubt Baela will settle for less she’s just waiting for her moment. Jon chucking that spear like he’s Achilles is pretty dope though. What’s Aemond gonna when his mom is hostage. I doubt there is much move he can pull here.

Poor, poor Baela realising that what her sister now has with Jon "I kill dragons afore breaking my fast" Stark might be an impossibility for her. Rhaena is finally starting to live up to her being the daughter of Daemon "I do what I want" Targaryen, anger, fierceness, fury and all. Although not the fornicating. Baela meeting up with Cregan "Time waits for ME" Stark will be interesting. But will she be able to hold herself back and not give in to the Daemon part of her when she meets up with Silver Denys? Will we see a clash between Kingslayer and Betrayer? Between Moondancer and Seasmoke? Ignomious end for Daeron, but then again the same has already happened to most of Alicent's brood, as well as Rhaenyra and all of hers. And what's going to happen to Tessarion? Excited about Alicent's meeting with Jon. And what will be the repercussions from holding Aemond's mother hostage? He's not exactly shown as completely sane by GRRM. How will King's Landing react to a third takeover by a third faction? What will the reaction of the Lords and Ladies of the realm upon learning about Viserys' presumed legitimised bastard proclaiming himself as king, marrying a daughter of Daemon, riding Vermithor, and his queen riding Silverwing? Excited about the next installment of this saga. Which is still not crack enough, BTW. 🤨 (And I just had a mental image pop up of courtiers and supplicants nervously before Jon Stark sitting on the Iron Throne. With a whole bunch of javelins stationed all around it. "You get a javelin through the heart, and you get a javelin through the heart. Everyone gets a javelin through the heart." That's actually crack.)

I guess Baela will be marrying Cregan? I hope Jon makes it so that his children marry the future Srarks and Velaryons. If Baela really does marry Cregan, that's a new dragon riding house. It would be imperative for King's Landing to keep blood ties with them at all costs.

Alicent losing another son , she might goes mad right there or maybe after knowing that Aegon 2 is gone as well,only Aemond left now Funny thing is people claim Jon is Visery 1’s son was never explain by him cause it’s impossible and people are half right he is a son between a Targaryen and a Stark just not from this time There must be a saying to be use the future , Sly as a Snake thanks to Corys twice betrayal The Blue Queen lives , nice another living dragon for future use Daemon with Teats ok that one is new i like that What if Baela married Cregan Stark huh , make the promise Jace told them be true

Finally the final war for the Iron throne has been declared! Again I request to melt down Hightower. It can be repurposed and made into a statue of Jon against his wishes 😆

I still think marrying baela aswell would have been better. Otherwise someone else gets access to dragons since her dragon is female. Then you have a whole other dragonriding house.

Awesome chapter as always. So it’s basically just Jon vs a bunch green boys, and a pirate with an old dragon. This is gonna be such a route. There’s a few things in this chapter that made me laugh. 1. The idea of Jon joining the war because he’s throwing a temper tantrum due to him not being left alone. 2. The visual of Jon getting stripped and being carried away by maids while holding Blackfyre over his head. I need a renaissance painting of this. 3. Baela’s pathetic attempt at a crown when she drunkenly suggested she become Jon’s Visenya. I understand that Baela was inebriated, but she shouldn’t worry about being killed by Seasmoke, but instead embarrassment. 4. “Ah, yes, there’s Daeron the best of Alicent’s whelps, a true gentleman and schola-” YEET Anyways, see ya next week.

Knowing Jon roots as a Stark, I think he is going to behead Alicent. Also, I think he won’t to forgiving with the Lannister or the Hightowers. Especially the Hightowers since they were one of the manufacturers of the Dance of Dragons. Great chapter bossman, can’t wait for more!!

Also, what’s up with the Baratheons? Is Borros with Criston Cole and the army marching against Cregan or is he still holed up in Storms End.

Good chapter though It does feel a little rushed. I do like that Kingslanding fell to cunning and not an outright assault.

Fun thing is that while Jon avoided Maegor/Aenys situation by NOT marrying Baela, he now has 2 problems called Baela and Jhaenera. Easiest is to marry Baela to Stark of Winterfell and Jhaenera to for example Blackwoods. While 3 houses with dragons can give some problems it will make internal fight over Iron Throne for main line (Jon descendants) less problematic, because they must always know that there is 2 more houses with dragons.

Skagos could become an enclave for dragons too after the war, which would be nice for the coming war against the White Walkers. Which is centuries(?) away.

1) Will Jon establish dragon rider regulations such that only main family can have dragons & only heirs can claim grown dragons? Etc 2) Is Viserys II dead or will there be a reappearance in future? Will that cause succession issues?

It will take a lot of words to make Baela even seem like a reasonable addition to Jon's harem/polycule. She's been ridiculously aloof the entire story. Meanwhile Rhaena's had time to build a tentative relationship and understanding with Jon. I do have hope though. Because even a little hope is enough to keep the aspirations of this dirty-minded ol reader lit.
