Was a bit late. Heat came with a vengeance, and I feel like I'm melting. Anyway, the chapter is normal-sized. Now the fun part begins. This is part of a build-up I considered from the very start of the story, so I hope it doesn't disappoint. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments below.

You can read the previous chapters in the collection.

Thank you in advance. Appreciate your commitment to writing. :)

Harry Potter magic makes it so hard to be vigilant (shoutout Moody) against attacks. The MCs have been reasonably cautious, but when your enemies can teleport, turn invisible, warp minds and memories, and control other wizards with a single spell, it becomes nigh impossible to avoid being taken by surprise. Realistically the only thing they could’ve done was avoid leaving the safety of wards or traveling in strong enough groups that they could defeat any ambush. Both of which are incredibly inconvenient, if not outright impractical. Maybe they can try and explore detection magic (enchanted objects, honing senses, etc.), divination, or some magic to have forewarning? Or maybe they can just undergo training to be more aware and tactically minded? Tho asking children to gain and maintain the sort of awareness you’d expect from an elite soldier is a lot.

Well, that's frustrating. Imprisonment/capture is one of my absolute least favorite plots, so I hope it's over soon. I understand the need for drama, but plot and progression grind to a halt and it's simultaneously very tense and very dull. It's also a bit frustrating that the first time Juno really goes out on her own to start rebuilding her interests, she gets kidnapped. I get why it had to happen, when Bellatrix is looking for her, and the people trying to shirk their dues are going to look for a way to get rid of her; but still, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Will probably lead to a lot of conflict between Harry and Juno as he gets overprotective. As high as the writing quality of this story usually is, I can't recall ever seeing these sorts of plot threads written in a way that isn't just an absolute slog. I have trust that it won't be dragged out for too long, but I still might wait a few chapters to start reading again.

Feels shorter than usual still quite good though

Great work. Harry's pissed; let's see what he can do.

Oh yeah, now we're r4eally gonna be getting into the good stuff for this year. I wonder if for the inevitable rampage the kidnapping plot almost always leads to, you'll have Harry going solo or if it'll be with either Dumbledore or Amelia helping him. I'm hoping it's the former, if any - I really like how you've handled the two's dynamic (and Albus himself, really) and it'd be nice to see if now'll be time for the payoff from that to begin. Speaking of the kidnapping plot, any chance you could point out which foreshadowing was specifically for the coming clash to start that way? It's been fairly heavily hinted that some sort of major clash between Harry/Juno and Bellatrix's group was coming, but I can't quite put my finger on what precisely hinted at it being Juno's kidnapping beyond the Diagon Incident. I usually have an at least vague idea at which foreshadowing it probably was, but it's kinda escaping me this time around

Well, I suspect Harry has an inside advantage when it comes to finding Juno, compared to the Aurors. Not least of which is he will be quite willing to break the law.

Rhett Sellers

I do want to just point out for the crowd that Juno had a chance to escape safely and didnt take it due to her own hubris. She definitely doesnt have Harry’s combat experience. Combine that with a desperate desire to prove herself to herself, Harry, and the world, and its a recipe for reckless decision making.

The ending of the chapter felt like "It was at this moment that he knew, the wizarding community of Britain had effed up" even if said community is unable to see - blinded by their ignorance, which finds not till it feels...
