The personal issues irl are mostly dealt with, so I finally managed to finish the chapter. The delay is too great, so I'll see what I can do next week week to make up for it. Anyway, without further ado:WebsiteGoogle Docs

Why's Voldemort so horny??? Is he not also implying he's going to sleep with Juno if she joins him? And most of the chapter is focused around another consequence of him sleeping around. What death does to a mf I guess?? Good chapter though

So far the kidnappings look ineffective. They fear Voldy more than the fate of their children. Then again, they know that the children are alive so it's not much of a bargaining piece. Harry have to move to Europe soon to make some noise in Voldy's ear. How's he going to accomplish that with school in session? Did he master flame-travel already?

Even if they fear him more than they fear for their children, resentment when he fails to find the kidnapped kids will probably still fester in some way. And they don't KNOW they won't harm the kids, they just assume it was Dumbledore. Also the mothers of these kids could work behind the death eaters backs to do something, like in GoT where Catelyn heavily fucks over the North by releasing Jaime. I don't think he's able to freely use any of the phoenix abilities but I could be wrong and that could've been a development in the short timeskip. But my understanding was that it took too much magic or something, and even using the rebirth once fucked him up real bad.

Even if a merciless dumbledore is being passive its defo way better then a merciful dumbledore

Lucion

True there'll be some resentment and, we don't know if Harry demanded anything from them yet. As for them not knowing, seeing is believing. If they don't see any proof of harm they'll assume that Dumbledore or whoever is holding them doesn't have the stomach to cut a finger of the children let alone torture and kill them if they refuse to comply.

I'm hoping the loss of patience is a consequence of the soul splitting. I really hope that there are consequences for something like that; and that Tom hasn't found a way around them.

Rhett Sellers

I suspect it is a consequence of parts of his soul rejoining him - his humanity returns as well, including lust. Remember, this is not the same Voldemort we know, even before he reclaimed a horcrux. He did sire Juno on Bella, after all, before his first downfall. Perhaps his lust is accentuated for the moment as different parts of his soul may contain differing qualities of his person, and not have been evenly split, as it were. This may continue until he reclaims more horcruxes.

Thinking on it, if we visualize all of Voldemorts Horcruxes as representations as parts of his being via symbolism, it could be interesting discussion. Here are my initial thoughts on it Diary - Legacy/Pride Locket - Birthright/Love (or Hate, as it became) Ring - Status/Covetousness Cup - Growth/Health Diadem - Mind/Psyche Nagini - Instinct/Magic Harry - Soul/Fate Obviously these arent meant to align with the existing CoF story per say, but I found it a fun exercise. Come to think of it, I am not sure if I can recall if Voldemort created Nagini or not on CoF. In canon I believe she was created after book 3, and before book 4.

I have been waiting for a chapter where Emberwick is featured more.
