I don't blame Snape. He couldn't train Harry without blowing his cover!! Voldemort goal was to manipulate Harrys mind and teaching him how to defend himself was going directly against this. However I can see how the MC can't see this. A Hufflepuff Harry fic? Now I have seen everything.
