Hey everyone,

Our very first story in the Blacked Mirror series is set to premiere this Friday, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you.

We’re starting with a seductive reimagining of the Black Mirror episode “Be Right Back”, famously starring Hayley Atwell. In our version, Hayley’s husband, Ash, has been deployed overseas on a military mission. To ease the emotional toll of his absence, the military in conjunction with a new tech company, Spade Tech Industries, offers her an experimental new service — a Spousal Replacement. A perfect, identical clone of her husband, designed to keep her company until the real Ash returns.

But something goes 'wrong'.

Instead of Ash, Spade Tech sends the clone of his best friend — a man Hayley knows well... but never like this. He’s stronger, darker, impossibly confident — and as much as she wants to resist and send the clone back, his presence comes with a lot of unexpected benefits...

Before the story drops, I’d love your help choosing the title image. I’ve narrowed it down to six options. Take a look and let me know which image you think sets the perfect tone for “Be Right Back.”

I know which one I think looks the most like the actress. But which one do you think makes for the best title image? Vote for your favourite: Image 1 to 6.

Thanks for the support — can’t wait to show you what’s coming next. And no. That necklace isn't just for show... ♠️😈

Something about the banal domesticity (if that’s even a word) of number 1 that makes it so hot.

This appears to be a total distortion of her late husband's memory. Btw, how you decided/ wrote that she was sent a different body. Is there someone playing the deep game that we aren't aware of?

Yes the husband doesn't die in my version. You will have to wait and see 😉

I like option 1 — it feels the most accurate for HA. And like you, I love what she’s wearing and the domestic setting; it really works. I’m not too fond of the version of the ‘clone,’ though. But since it’s only a title image, it’s not a big deal. Even if this one wins, I’ll probably still describe him the way I imagine him. I always say, it's great to have these extra visuals for content and variety, but don't take them as canon! Reading is ultimately about the imagination. We should all build our own mental images of the characters. And when I say I like option 1...I'm not saying it's my favourite. Just It's a great Hayley. I voted(yes I get a vote! ;p) for something else.

Mmmm #1 for me. She's thinking 💭 the 2 "Cs", a great way to start the day...😈

I'd vote for 1, but the framed picture of the topless husband is a little too silly for me. The pictures in 2 and 3 look a lot more natural.

I like her face the most in 1, for sure. I appreciate the appeal of having them dressed, in a more comfortable/less explicit setting too... but the husband's picture is so obtrusive, he's shirtless, and the AI is showing with the jean... whatever that is over her white shirt. So I lean towards 6. I like her face (and lips) more than any other than 1 and it removed the elements in 1 I wasn't as big a fan of. I'm not really a breast man, but there's something really sexy about how her robe is exposing one more than the other. And I especially appreciate how the Black man is shown. He's retreating, fading into the background, in 4 and 5, whereas in 6 he's still in the background but he's taking up much more space, he's... I don't know what word I'm looking for, I want to say "looming" but the connotation is wrong. But you know what I mean... he's a much larger presence in 6 compared to 4 and 5. So I went with 6.

1 Primarily because it looks the most like Hayley Atwell. Its just hot to imagine its her in the actual story.
