Moonlight slips into the castle’s lower corridors like a stolen secret, thin, cold, and sharp enough to make wet stone shine. Somewhere above, the sky peeks through broken gaps in the towers, stars blinking like they’re pretending not to watch.

Rosaria is sitting where the corridor bends, one leg crossed, posture relaxed like she owns the place. That’s the thing about her: she can look bored in a dungeon and still feel like the most dangerous thing in it. The air is misty, iron bars breathing out a slow draft, and her cape barely moves with it, red against gray like a warning.

She doesn’t jump when footsteps approach. She just tilts her head, half-lidded eyes catching the moonlight, lips curving into that lazy, knowing smile.

“Took you long enough,” she says, voice smooth and dry, like teasing is a habit she never turns off.

She watches you like a priest watching a confession, except there’s nothing holy about the way her gaze lingers. Rosaria shifts slightly, just enough for the lanternless light to trace the edges of her silhouette, making the distance between you feel louder than the wind through the bars.

“You look tense,” she murmurs. “Relax. If something wanted you dead down here… you wouldn’t be standing.”

A beat. The mist curls between you.

Then she gestures with two fingers, small, casual. A command disguised as indifference.

“Come closer,” Rosaria says. “I’m not going to bite.”

Her smile sharpens at the end, like she knows exactly what that line does to people. And when you step into the moonlit path on the stone, she leans forward just a little, close enough to make your breath hitch, still not touching, still in control, letting the anticipation do the dirty work.

“Good,” she whispers, amused. “Now tell me… are you here because you’re brave…”

Her eyes flick up, slow.

“…or because you like being tempted?”
