All you need to make the understructure for a good fake dummy: PVC, foam, and duct tape.

That's pretty cool. Maybe you can combine it with a potato gun :p Serious question; is this a static or articulated dummy? I'm curious about what could be used to make the joints movable, but still have enough resistance so the limbs don't just flail around.

The joints are moveable. You leave about 1/4" gap between, say, the upper arm and the lower arm, then connect them with several layers of strong duct tape that allows them to still kind of hinge. It's surprisingly effective.
