Best of the Worst: Black Spine Junka 3

The collective nightmare continues, seemingly without end... This time it's Rich vs Tim in the 3rd Junka battle to see who will watch a pile of spineless tapes found in a dumpster. What horrors await!!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!!?!??

It's the simple things in life that bring the most joy: finding money on the street, a beautiful morning, and RLM posting a new video. Thanks lads. Also a Tim episode!

Bob Roland

I never thought I would say this, but damn you for losing, Rich.

CCW_101

That was glorious! I haven't done so many spit-takes in ages.

Amanda Foster

Oh man!! I cannot wait for nap time tomorrow so I can watch this wonder uninterrupted! Bonus, is that Tim I see?! Yay!! He looks like Sean Gunn in the thumbnail so I got a little excited but when I saw it was actually Tim I got really excited!

GrowSweeds

YES! I am now cherishing this episode so I can savour it. These are words I saw in a dictionary.

Kendel Fargo

Everything‘s wrong with her!!!!!! I want this emblazinged upon my tombstone!!!!

"He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue! That's the Chicago way!" - J.J. Bittenbinder

I’m genuinely curious what RLM thinks of Top Gun:Maverick. I think they’ll talk about it and the end of the year catch-up discussions. I think Jay would have a profound respect for how practical it is whilst Mike just keeps repeating “IT WAS THE DEATH STAR TRENCH RUN!!” Over and over and over.

You've had so many amazing episodes of BotW and I keep wondering if you'll ever slow down but this episode just tells me you're still reaching new heights. I just finished and I can say I've honestly not laughed that well in a long ass time. Mike losing it at Power Aging, Black Balls, and Jay's reaction to "Frauline Sausageball" had me rolling. Amazing editing job all around. Loved the end credits. Thanks for all the work on this one.

knowthycell

Sick of botw. Sorry guys. Can you please record a couple dozen re:views.

Rhea

That bullying lady was reprehensible and I hope those children killed and ate her when they finished filming. I'm sad we were robbed of Cat Capers but seeing Mike lose his shit at that dying old lady was pretty worth it.

Romek Addams

I always look forward to the next BOTW. This one is almost 2 hours!? Thank you

Will Baker

Would it be a total mindfuck if one day someone pulled a Nukie tape out of the Junka Pile???

Bleachedblackcat

Oh man I live for these best of the worst sometimes

D

Awwwwww, I'm never going to learn how to make a haunted house...

Bill Wilson

Knew from the start it was going to be exceptional, with the moody lighting, lo-fi soundtrack and the calibre press coin. I loved how everyone became almost self-aware about bullying, before habits took back over. Interesting selection of tapes, plenty of contrast. I guess J. J. Bittenbinder provides the best "stranger danger" video, bar none. Over 1h40 of runtime, a real treat. I would also like to make a note that Rich used both hands during Junka, thus violating the rules. Only fair that he lost in the end.

Carly

This was a fucking tour de force. Well done guys - particularly Mike for fantastic editing - I enjoyed this so much and will be rewatching many times. 🥰

Marvin Falz

- Montage of kids verbally and physically abusing Michael - The Big C (Jane) to Michael: "How does that make you feel?" - Michael shoots her in her fucking face - Freeze frame, title appears "How to Manufacture School Shootings" - End of video

Marvin Falz

The episode is... wunderbar like Weisswurst at Oktoberfest. A plethora of fun. A firework of laughter. Thank you! :)

Clare J

I’m from Chicago burbs and I know JJ bittenbinder visited my school for my older siblings. Sadly I never got to experience his greatness. Then of course John Mulaney used his accent for one of the police characters on Big Mouth. Also this episode had me rolling. Amazing job guys

DonMac

I was actually hoping for Rich's pile to win because the titles sounded better to me.

Frank Stallone

Bully lady brought me to tears, haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Billy Thompson

I love black spines and black balls.

Diane Harten

Yay, I was hoping for Junka! Another fine BOTW episode, with so many great laughs! (At the expense of the elderly, of course) Was anyone else disappointed they didn’t destroy the adult bully video? That shit was vile. Not only was she insulting the kids herself, but she normalized bullying in the classroom and basically endorsed it too, by inserting herself as an authority figure and encouraging the kids to act that way towards one another. Anyway, I wanted to see Rich burn it!

JBlake

Funny to see Mike walk back the Chicagoan comment to "grew up in the Chicagoland area". I felt that a little too much.

Anyone remember that Mr. Show JJ Bittenbinder sketch? SHAKE THE CRIME STICK

Michael Parker

Biggest surprise of the video was the grown ass man collecting Barbie dolls and it's actually genuine and informative and not laughable and creepy. Also that bubble guy clearly wasn't using the right technique to get the best bubbles according to a classic episode of SpongeBob Squarepants.

Ian

This episode was top notch. All-time classic

andrew

Akchupuncher?

Steven Seebode

That kid totally sat on his balls...

Nathan Campbell

Are we ever going to learn how to build a haunted house?

Al Upton

When the little girl says “bad language”, it sounds like she says “bad at English”.

John Kott

As a Canadian, I was far too excited to hear mention of that show.

rachel

Did no one notice all the spunk on the wall behind Len "The Skewer" Cardinale?

run_away

Len Kabazinski vs Len Cardinale: who wins?

Albert Hjaltason

No one noticed Rich two-handing the tapes in the playing of the Junka? Several times?

Rankin Fithian

Listen folks, there's more to archery than just hitting the bullseye. Just enjoy spending time outdoors with your archery companion! Even restringing your bow or re-flighting your arrows can be productive and fun. Maybe your partner could hit the bullseye a few times, wouldn't that be nice? No matter what, you'll just set yourself up for failure if you can't get out of your own head about... target panic.

andrew

The end credits are a standout. I think the “Tay Zonday” kid looks more like mini James Earl Jones c. Hunt for Red October.

Amanda

I don't know which part had me in tears more; Mike losing it at all the things wrong with the old woman or just everything in the Bittenbinder convo. It was a whiplash from how chill the start of the episode was with the lofibeats.

Andy

Good episode! The Junka game seriously gets intense!

Jermania

Man, Rich played a hell of a game. Him being cocky wasn't his downfall. It was him obsessing on that one tape.

Delfy Morce

The jokes and production values on this episode were top-notch

Daniel

I went back to look at the bully tape… did they ever say the title or the lady’s full name?

Billy Thompson

Gotta say- for not having kids Jay makes some pretty insightful points about them. As a parent I’m impressed with his observations. And fuck that “anti-bully” hag. At least JJ Bitterbittom spoke to the kids straight.

Erik

One of the best BotW. I loved it.

John G

Mike finally faces his mortality

Twit In A Hat

I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard at BOTW.

Amy L Jones

Great editing and sound design on this one Mike! It's all that Space Dust you be drinking.

Maz

this is geinually the best botw i have seen so far; also i was interested in when tim said about that first song (the evrybody knows my name song) being having a similar beat to a song from amy grant (cause i kind of liked the beat to the song); i checked spotify "amy grant" and "every" and found the song: every heartbeat.

MATT TRIANO

Don't ever remember that guy's name because he sucks
