Yiss. Best timing for my morning commute. Thanks RLM.

Amanda Foster

Yay! Also, I keep flip flopping between wanting to see clerks 3 and not wanting to. I just can’t believe my mom took me to see the 2nd one when I was 15 lol! I got a copy of the film script and took it to school and would read it out loud to my friends who weren’t allowed to see it. I was considered the friend with the “cool parents” in high school 😎👍🏼 Edit: after hearing Jay talk about Clerks 3 and hearing what happens in it I’ve decided to pass on it lol. I’m too much of a tender cupcake to handle the events in this film so… yeah…Thank you Jay 👍🏼 lol

I still haven't caught up to everything In the last catch-up video

Joshua Mannix

Either of you guys watch Banshees of Inisherin? Was my favorite new movie of last year .

Piss Tape Expert

I'm currently sick in bed with what I can only assume is AIDS, so thank you for this content. Also, thanks for reviewing The Menu that was initially a pass for me, but it was really good!

James Van Sickle

I don't understand what the hell happened to Kevin Smith. Clerks was such an influential movie for me when I saw in the 90s. His other early movies like Mallrats was fun too. Then he just seemed to run out of ideas but surrounded himself with a bunch of "yes men" who don't critique the ideas he comes up with. The worst was watching Kevin Smith practically jizz his pants on camera over the original Suicide Squad film. The studio had him doing some promotional video. He spent the entire time fanboying out on a bunch of film props from a yet-to-be-released shitty movie as if they were used in the original Star Wars film from the 70s. Complete fucking sellout. I refused to watch Clerks 2. Now I know to never watch it or Clerks 3.

Jeremiah Sullivan

Pretty clever to put The Batman in Part 3 to keep anticipation up

Tony Dupre

I'm super sick today stuck in bed and this is exactly the medicine I needed

Bill Wilson

Can't wait for Christopher Nolan's next project.

Notorious HDP

No Cabinet of Curiosities? Awww, man.

Kevin Can F Himself looks very intriguing. I like the concept. -- The melody of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds sounds like how I'd react to the show: just when I expect the melody to hit the high notes, the melody goes straight to the deep notes; it sounds disappointing and weak. -- I recently rewatched the movie Lucky (2017) with Harry Dean Stanton as the main character and David Lynch as a side character. The movie isn't exactly like The Fabelman's, judging from Half in the Bag, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to watch Harry Dean Stanton and David Lynch.

Wtf! Sex Pervert Jay liked Bones & All over WifeLike??? Dammit! I re-watched all of Small Wonder and saw M3GAN in preparation for Sex Pervert Jay to talk about WifeLike 😓 instead he saw “Fine Young Cannibals,” just like the 90s band- she drives me craaazaaaay! All because they didn’t want to do ANOTHER VAMPIRE ROMANCE movie so they made it about cannibals instead 😡 so fucking what?

AllGoodNamesRGone

Great video, RLM. I was thinking about Mike's comments about Strange New Worlds, and feel like that's the Joss Whedon effect after the success of The Avengers. Everyone has to have a quip, and nothing can be too serious before someone has to lighten the mood.

Tristan Hardy

Mike and Jay talking about these videos ending some day and how it will happen hit way too real. I know it’s inevitable (like death), but I don’t want to have to figure what to do with the rest of my life when it does.

Rhea

I can't watch this til tonight but can someone tell me if they talk about Banshees of Inisherin

Lee Noble

Did you watch RRR? I know it's not an original recommendation. I was skeptical but was in by the 45 minute mark. Watch the Hindi version though. The terrible English dialog is limited to the terrible English characters that way.

Manuel Johnen

The last Kevin Smith movie I found to be enjoyable was "Tusk", which is still the best movie about a man being transformed into a walrus I've ever seen...

Joe

I gasped when I saw the clips of Kevin can f himself. it looks like exactly the nightmare that I’m into

Daniel Frank

Re: “Kevin Can F’ Himself”, Kevin James had a sitcom called “Kevin Can Wait”, a usual shlubby guy and hot wife show. They revamped it for the second season by killing off the wife and bringing in Leah Remini, his “King of Queens” wife as his partner at his job. So the premise was the POV of the hot wife in these kind of shows. At one point, Erinn Hayes (the first season wife of “Kevin Can Wait”) was going to play the lead.

andrew

Jay needs therapy.

Michael Parker

No Banshees of Inishirin. Oh well. I too enjoyed Bodies Bodies Bodies. I really liked, but didn't love Bones and All. I missed the window to see The Fabelmans, but now a Jay Bauman recommendation makes me want to watch it more.

Mike St Louis

I was wondering if Mike had watched Strange New Worlds. But I thought if he did that it would be a video with Rich. I’m glad he gave it a try and sorry he didn’t like it. I thought it was decent enough and I’ll probably watch S2. But definitely out for all the other new Trek shows. I wonder if Rich watched SNW…

cynthia

This isn't actually the last HitB though right 😢 Someone tell me I'm being dumb lol

andrew

Mike: As a lifelong Trek fan (TNG first aired when I was in 2nd grade), your criticism of SNW is reasonable, though there were bright spots in S1. It’s worth a full viewing. I think “new Trek” excelled in S1-2 of Lower Decks (S3 was meh) because in that series tone matched content. Unfortunately, a weekly peek at the business of Starfleet is considered mundane. Maybe Picard S3 will surprise us?

Yngwie Tarantino

KCGFH kinda reminds me of a twisted, dark version of Awake, my favorite cancelled-after-one-season show evar!! You guys should definitely do a review!

schopi

I actually started watching Kevin can fuck himself, and it's really interesting! Thanks, Mike.

DonMac

'Strange New Worlds' is good for nuTrek, but bad compared to old Trek

Top Hat Monkey

Well, I watched 1899 & Fleischman is In Trouble. Liked em both. Thanks, hack frauds! Gonna do Kevin Can Go F Himself next and Fabelman's.

Jerome

I would like to see an Avatar 2 review. Which I surprisingly enjoyed more than any Star Wars film in the last 30 years. Am I brain dead? Please help!

Eric Topp

Fabelmans was good but way too long. People in the audience groaned when the title card for the last scene came up which was a shame since it was the best scene of the movie

Mr Moxie

So back in Aug 2022 I wrote in the patreon comments: 'Can somebody tell Mike to watch "Strange New Worlds"? It's actually star trek unlike everything since Enterprise. If he doesn't like it I will send RLM 1000$. That's how confident I am that he will like it.' Now I may have been somewhat drunk at the time of writing it, and I kinda expected he'd give it more than 1.5 episodes (particularly considering how long most treks take to get good). But despite all that, a bet is a bet. So while I'm far from wealthy, I think I have enough in savings that I would be willing to idk write a check or whatever to pay RLM for Mike's service. Idk if anybody in RLM reads patreon, but if they do, can they tell me how I would go about sending in this $1000 dollars.
