Can’t wait for the evil dead rise HITB

Matthew Dillard

I literally not two seconds after finishing EP10 got the notice this went up, who at RLM is spying on me? is it Mike?

John willis

Engaging member-berry drive! Warp Speed to ST:Legacy! 😊

sacch

this better be the last one, im worried jay has gone missing at this point

Michael Parker

I’m guilty of being one of those people who watches these video even though I don’t watch the show cause you guys are always so entertaining no matter what you talk about even if I haven’t experienced it for myself to fully relate or understand. Also what’s up with censoring the profanity, but only towards the beginning of the vid? I’m glad it’s not censored all the way through even if you guys can still manage to be very funny without cursing.

Geechee

Rich Evans: "Hashtag StarTrekLegacy". Please stop talking like a teenager at a food court, you 140-year-old man.

Mike St Louis

Damn. You guys look reasonably happy. Not that I wish unhappiness on you all. I was just hoping Picard S3 would be another train wreck. I hope y’all will reconsider reviewing ST:SNW again. I think it deserves it.

Mathias

I've seen a lot of praise for this season of Picard, so I guess I'm in the minority for thinking that, while marginally better than the first two seasons, it's still terrible.

Conor

There's a severe lack of laser blood eyes in my life

DonMac

I like that the examples of immature nuTrek dialogue came from Strange New Worlds

Josh

Now we need a re;View of Jay and Josh walking Picard season 3 and Mike and Rich watching Twin Peaks: The Return

The Real Zam

Holding out hope for the release of the officially licensed Jean Luke PEEcard bedside urinal. When you open it, it says "Make it go".

DonMac

If "Star Trek: Legacy" happens, I would be okay with whatever nonsense they come up with to bring back Capt Shaw. Even putting his katra in a positronic golem body would work for me!

The Real Zam

The constant reference to the "parietal lobe" is one of the many overused buzz words of technobabble in TNG. This was a common issue as the writers were not doctors or scientists. They did have technical consultants, but their role was limited to providing a basic set of terms used to describe certain things. By extension, this retcon is a meta reference to this behind the scenes detail.

JTruts

Happy you guys enjoyed it, really I am especially after mikes breakdown at the end of season 2. I also REALLY hope Mike finishes the blue ray STTNG schmutz and construction paper analysis video!

The Real Zam

I was really impressed that they got Alice Krige back for this. Infamously, the costume was extremely painful. The contact lenses were even worse. It took a lot of effort, and a lot of changes to the costume, in order to convince her to return to the role. This time around, she only voiced the character. Still, it just felt right to me.

andrew

So I’m just realizing that actor Anthony Zerbe has his head exploded in “Licence to Kill” and his face ripped apart in “Star Trek: Insurrection.” Rough.

The Real Zam

I actually laughed out loud when it was revealed that only the young could be assimilated. The idea of the young being infected by a "mind virus" was insane. This made the online nuts cheer. The reality is that this was about the next generation being made to pay for the failures of the last. The resolution showed the other side of the coin: that the legacy of the previous generation's success, and the lessons learned from their failures, also serve as the foundation upon which the next generation can build.

Bryan Newton

Thanks guys for renewing my hope in Star Trek.

Looks like it's time to start a Go Fund Me for Rich's chemo treatments. Love how Mike made sure the shots of Rich eating off the cancer plate were free of cuts between rich taking the pizza off the plate and actually swallowing it. He wanted to make sure we didn't think they were faking it.

Jack

Wow, they actually pulled it off. I felt the same way as Rich, I felt so nervous they’d fumble it, and honestly the Borg reveal had me SUPER worried, but I think they pulled it off super well! Really enjoyed the whole show, and especially loved getting to see the variety of classic and new ships on display

Nada Leona Sheppard

I wait in anticipation for the "Mike Points Out All The Crap In TNG" video.

Ben-K

Hahaha I only just noticed that during the Wil Wheaton cuts, there’s a small ornament or picture of rainbow jumper Wesley crusher in the top left and now it’s all I can see

Jason Stricklin

Let's STOP with what fuckin censorship. It totally takes me outta it hearing phaser beeaps and blasts. Ugh. NO FUCKING 12 YEAR OLDS ARE WATCHING RLM! Its all adults and I think we can handle adult words. It's working my nerves now.

andrew

Shelby walking out of that turbolift is still stone cold.

Zach Dewoody

There was so much optimism in this video. Did the guys eat a bag of mushrooms just before recording?

Marvin Falz

Unlike Rich Evans I'm not part of RLM, but I'm also a fan, and I would also like to see that video. Stuff like this is why originally hopped on board. And I enjoyed watching this re:View. I can see myself watching Picard season 3 in some future, when I've watched all the TNG episodes whose plot synopsises speak to me. The same with Voyager, With Voyager it's basically all episodes that involve Seven or the Doctor. Don't know yet about TNG. Deanna Troi centric episodes probably. We'll see.

Brandon Casey

I hated the dark lighting and cold color grading of the bridges in Picard so much that I literally was brightening and warming the colors in a video editor to watch them. So when they walked onto the bridge of the Enterprise D and said "lights" I was unironically clapping like I was part of The Nerd Crew podcast. I was already somewhat happy just to see episodic Star Trek come back with Strange New Worlds, but if Star Trek Legacy happens with Terry Matalas as showrunner, I think there really would be reason to be optimistic again.

run_away

does anyone in this comment section have thoughts on if it might be worth it to get a P+ subscription for a month to watch this season? I watched that free sample of Picard they did in 2020 and hated it. But the boys doing this glowing review makes me question it maybe I should see this one.

DonMac

First seeing the bridge of the Enterprise D in ep. 9 reminded me of going on the long gone "Star Trek: The Experience" ride in Las Vegas over 20 years ago. There was a point in it where they lead us onto an exact replica of the D bridge and we stood in the "Worf area" for the rest of ride, which basically was a simulation on the bridge's viewscreen. I was smiling the whole time and just being on that bridge was all the ride had to be for me. It's a shame that attraction in Vegas closed but I still remember how great it was.

John Kott

I'm an old. I watched TNG when it first came out on my little black and white portable television on UHF. Hearing and SEEING the black paper placed on set to reduce camera glare was something I never knew about. It's amazing how evident is is now. I agree with Mr. Evans...I'd love to see a compilation video of these charming technical necessities.

Frazzled Doo

I’m glad yous2 liked it, kinda happy for ya’

Keith Feinstein

I waited until this episode dropped and as soon as Mike said he loved the entire season I subscribed to Paramount+ and watched the entire season. I LOVED it. I too, by the way, thought of Redjac--because they named dropped Argelius, the planet where the TOS crew encountered the entity.

Michael Puttré

The love for Next Generation compromises the Red Letter legacy of brutal honesty. Memberberries are indeed intoxicating.

Jason Clark

Speaking of handling it carefully... I also appreciated how, even though they used a changeling sub-plot, they somehow artfully avoided messing up DS9 in any way. Which is kinda the only Trek to come out totally unscathed in the aftermath, right? Like it's legit the only one not to get a revamp/reboot or some kinda Frankenstein move. Basically wormholed around that one again - thank goodness! Instead they kept it in the neutral zone, like still on the UPN, where I want it to live forever, or in some massive 9 dvd rainbow brick. It's fine that it's not in Blu ray, I don't really care, just long as it doesn't get bricked by the suits into something horrid 30 years on. I didn't mind the Voyager overlap here at all, cause it was apt, in-stroy, and both shows had the spinoff start anyway and Seven was already in the mix. Plus I loved how they handled Seven in season 3. But they could easily have shoehorned in something from DS9 there, once they brought Worf back and started teasing the Dominion War angles pretty heavily and section 31 doing the mkultra stuff on those changelings. Like they could have shoehorned in an Obrien, or really anyone via Worf, but opted not to, and I liked that choice. Kept it tidy. Totally cleaned the room, without messing up another one ya know. Well played there. Full house closer

andrew

I think the D is aesthetically pleasing because the saucer, nacelles, and drive section are all proportionally “squished” in width (wide and squat). While the E has long sections in profile, but the saucer and nacelles, for example, have inconsistent height.

GrowSweeds

I don't even watch Picard or any ST franchise, but here I am loving this video.

Emily Hall

Could Mike start a series where he describes TOS episodes? It was so enjoyable when he described Wolf in the Fold!

Niklas King

I really do feel like this season made up for the disaster that was S01/02. If TNG/DS9 is a 10 and ENT was a 4, Picard S01/02 were 2's. This season was better than most Voyager Episodes even. And yes as far as Movies go if you want to consider it one long movie even better than First Contact but only slightly.

Kellic

Umm so Rich at the very end made a comment that made me take note. "I already have cancer." I don't know if that was a statement because he just ate off the plate or or something else. I've noted him not being on as many episodes over the last year or so. Is he OK? I legit care about these guys as they have gotten me through some shit times over the course of the last 10 years with their humor.

Hector Rosales

I'm now actually curious about subscribing and watching Picard sz3. Probably wont though.

Chauncey Frend

I started a P+ subscription partially to boost Mke & Rich's influence on the future of streaming trek. I don't even watch star trek lol
