For no reason at all I picked up the paper on the Plinkett house set last shoot and looked at the date. Heaven's gate! We've had this paper for over 10 years. My best estimate is that we started using this paper around episode 30ish? We obviously needed Plinkett to read a paper. I attempted to track down it's very first use (clearly on or after 10-2-12) but then I got bored and gave up. After all, I'm currently editing a BOTW spotlight video due out soon... can YOU figure out the exact episode?!?!??!?!?!?

Episode 39: Looper and Dredd, Mike's holding it

Jeff Clayton

The end of episode 39 with Looper and Dredd. Rewatching HITB and weirdly just watched that one

Michael Schmidt

You’re reading a paper in episode 39: Looper and Dread, but I can’t see the date. That episode is dated October 9, 2012.

Christie

I appreciate how simple the design of this paper is. Very midwestern

Nada Leona Sheppard

Leave it to us, Mike -- wecan do the menial work. You get back to spinning terrible VHS tapes into gold.

Damon Killian

This is an Operating Thetan level of RLM knowledge, I do not possess.

Daniel

I came here because I knew at least one person would have figured it out. Happy to see that MANY figured it out. 🤣

GrowSweeds

I appreciate you. You guys are the best

I don't think it's from episode 39. The papers that both Mike (at the beginning) and Rich (at the end) are "reading" don't appear to match the newspaper featured in this post. If the folks who are saying it's episode 39 can provide a time stamp (I know, I know), them I'm not seeing where it's the same paper?

Never stop doing what you do, I wanna see this paper in episode 3000 of re:View.

Jerome

Have you finally watched Sean Connery's epic Zardoz?

NY Committee

Wow, I now know the name of a Milwaukee newspaper and mayor. Milwaukee may be the 36th best city in the US, but it's #30 in my heart. Thanks RLM!

cynthia

Thanks for sharing! I was actually wondering how old this newspaper was 'cause it looked so old in the 2023 catch up episode.

Thomas Naporano

Boy I hope Mayor Barrett’s budget proposal lives up to the hype.

Jonathon

Looks like Jackie Gleason’s still dead…

The Real Zam

Why figure out something on your own when you can have people pay you to do it for you.

Is a Max-iPad replacing Plinkett's 11yo newspaper?
