Since mega is no longer an option I uploaded the patch to a few different hosts to see how they perform. Let me know which host works the best for you, or if any of these hosts don't work for you.

You need to get the .exe and all 3 .bin files and put them in the same folder. You can mix files from different sources without issues.

Important note, read in case of issues

Windows Defender is flagging the .exe file for some reason. If you have trouble downloading or installing the patch you can either whitelist the .exe in Defender settings (security center > virus protection > protection history) or disable Defender temporarily while you download and install the patch (remember to re-enable it afterwards!).

This often happens when a new version of HF Patch, or really any non-signed application installer is released, and stops happening after enough users mark it as not malicious. If you are unsure if the file wasn't compromised, test the .exe on virustotal.com to see if it is actually infected or not.

windows was detecting a trojan virus from the .ex file on the mediafire download link.. anyone else getting this?

mediafire is working so far, files.fm was a bust

It's a known issue, defender is flagging the file for some reason. On VirusTotal it only gets marked by machine learning algorithms, actual antiviruses find nothing.

Was able to to use files.fm and mediafire. installer went well without a hitch on both machines.

it keeps telling me that koikatsu.exe download contains a virus and won't let me download. What can I do to change this?

excuse me, I had same situation and I tried to scan on VirusTotal but the .exe file just won't let me extract it from winrar.

It seems that initsetting.exe will be deleted if you use the Japanese "recommended installation". Japanese MOD users are aware of this problem, and it is possible to handle it by backing up the initsetting beforehand, but if possible, please handle it on the installer side.

Thank you for letting me know, I will look into it. Did you try to change the custom installer to Japanese language by clicking on the flag icons? It should also change the game language.

Download all files and start the .exe as usual. If you are having issues with the exe then make sure your antivirus isn't interfering.

You can try going to security center > virus protection > protection history and restore the exe from there.

This means that defender is removing the exe the moment you extract it. Either go to defender settings and whitelist the patch, or disable defender temporarily while you install it (make sure to re-enable it afterwards).

Some Japanese, including me, need "XUnity.AutoTranslator". (We use it to replace the background image, change the font, and translate the text written in English into Japanese) Therefore, some Japanese will make further selections from the "recommended installation". However, many Japanese have installed HF with the default settings and seem to have encountered the above problem. I'm guessing that the reason is that "English launcher" is not selected by default when "Recommended installation for Japanese". I apologize if this is irrelevant.

I see. In this case I will make it so that AutoTranslator is installed by default for Japanese language. What configuration should I use? Is "Language=jp FromLanguage=en" enough or are there more options that need to be changed?

Thank you very much. Many Japanese users do not need automatic translation, so "Endpoint =" should be blank. And for Japanese, "Choices Translation.zipmod" is unnecessary. I am not good at English. This sentence is also written by translation software. I apologize in advance if you find anything offensive about my writing.

2026-09-05 04:00 This is a scam, no one should ever have to touch their anti virus or defender software for any reason. I used both methods both direct and torrent on a virtual machine and it virused and screwed over both systems. So in the end it just goes to show that if your computer tells you there's a virus, there most likely is.

You are free to believe what you want, but antivirus software is not always correct. New malware is often completely ignored, and legitimate applications are often flagged as malicious, especially if they are not signed (I'm not doing that since code signing certificates disclose personal information). If anyone finds any actual malware in the patch then you are free to spread the word to the world, I have nothing to hide. If you really think this is a scam then I don't mind refunding you. This version of the patch simply lost the antivirus lottery, you can download the previous version of the patch (v3.0.2) that uses almost exactly the same code but was not flagged. If you are worried about malware then I suggest using a virus scanning service like virustotal.com instead of relying on a single antivirus.

Ive downloaded several games from patreon all pornographic in nature. Fallen doll, Breeders of the Nephelym, Cloud Meadow and Monster Girl Island. ALL of them were flagged by windows defender.

everything is downloading finer, but everytime i try to execute it asks me to put the disk in... there is no disk i got it from steam

What's asking you to put the disk in? The patch or the game? If the patch is asking you for a disk then you need to download all of the parts, you are most likely missing the .bin files.

i had to approve the exe also and it asks for the disk or location. I downloaded everything... the bin files show in my doanloads as well

okay now it works but, i cant find where to save the files. No game data i can find. Total newbie so if ya can point me in the right direction?

Hey I downloaded the three files and the EXE so where do they go and where would the initsetting be pre-say only seen the Initial Settings

The game saves files inside subfolders in the UserData folder, it that's what you're asking. If you mean when the patch asks where to install you have to point it to where you installed the game. If you installed with steam you can go to properties in steam library and view local files to see where they are.

Ah kk sweet and got it working and so far im glad I got it, just one question tho when doing the action this circle with a plus in it appears when I go to move the camera how do I hide that after installing/updating Koikatus and sorry if I miss spelled it x.x

Turn off Settings > Display camera axis

Try removing UserData\save\tutorial.dat If that doesn't help, try reinstalling the patch with default settings (other than language). If you still get the same issue then send me your output_log file from game directory (in PM here or on discord).

Got a message saying a file was corrupt, what do I do to fix that?

Most likely redownload, try the other source. You might get away by redownloading only the corrupted part if you can single it out.
