"Is that so..."

Al fell silent.

He knelt on the ground, his face concealed by his helmet, hiding his true expression.

After who knows how long, he spoke again. There was no resentment or pain in his tone, only extreme exhaustion, and even a sense of relief.

"Brother, I want to ask, who is that subordinate of yours, the person who killed Priscilla-sama?"

Kenma was a bit surprised, not expecting the other party to manage his emotions so well, and responded with a smile as well, "Capella, the Sin Archbishop of Lust of the Witch Cult, a new mount I just took in a few minutes ago. She can even transform, which is pretty cool."

"That's true. Having a transformable mount is totally awesome, okay?"

On the surface, Al seemed completely unfazed by Priscilla's death, even having the leisure to joke around.

Realizing that this guy had such a good mindset, Kenma, though silent on the outside, inwardly admired him quite a bit.

As expected of Re:Zero's legendary endurance king of dying. His mindset was purely non-human, though the guy himself didn't seem to be human anyway.

Thinking of this, he didn't plan to continue bickering with Al, and went straight to the point.

"I know that you are a clone created by Echidna, specifically meant to kill me. However, what I didn't quite expect is..."

Kenma stepped forward, gazing straight into the pair of eyes hidden beneath the cracks of the helmet, his gaze playful.

"You actually abandoned your innate mission for Priscilla. Well, then I can only help you out."

Although Priscilla's death had fundamentally no connection to Kenma, so what?

Everything he was doing right now was constantly drawing Al's aggro, making him thoroughly hate him and desperately want to kill him.

Just like a certain crow-guy in Naruto did to his younger brother, fiercely provoking Al to engrave the mark of hatred deep within his soul.

Unexpectedly, Al was much more relaxed than imagined. He sat on the ground, looking up at the sliver of sunlight filtering through the cracks in the wall.

"Jeez... I was already close to forgetting my own mission. Why push me to this point?"

There were too many memories of death in his mind, so many that he had already forgotten the gradually blurring past.

That day, when he saw the white-haired witch before him and learned of his mission for the first time, Al only had the thought of obedience.

At the moment of life-and-death struggle on the Sword Slave Island, there were no excessive emotions in his mind, only the mindset of defeating his opponent.

Until, in the darkness of his life, he met his very own sun for the first time.

That woman, as gorgeous as the sun, exuded a fiery aura, as if everything in the world was her back garden.

"You are called Al, right? Would you like to follow me?"

That day, Al, wandering amidst death and pain, found his emotional sustenance.

But now, everything was gone.

The man he had once accepted a mission to kill had killed the last spiritual pillar in his heart and destroyed that ray of sunlight shining into his dim life.

"Heh... Heh heh heh... Hahahahaha!"

Al suddenly burst into loud laughter, his laughter carrying a muffled crying tone, as if he wanted to vent all his pain and despair.

Watching Al laughing wildly there, Kenma stood in place, looking at him like he was an idiot.

Is this savage going crazy?

Laughing until he couldn't stop coughing, Al finally stopped.

He knew he was too weak, so weak that he didn't even have a chance for revenge.

Since Kenma understood him so well, he surely also knew that his ultimate trump card kept in reserve was to usurp the Divine Dragon's body through the Book of the Dead.

But now, the other party had actually taken him to the Pleiades Watchtower on their own initiative, clearly not fearing this trump card.

"How pathetic. I don't even have a chance for revenge."

At this moment, Al's helmet was tapped twice, producing a crisp sound.

He stiffly turned his head and saw a petite, yellow-haired woman with revealing clothes appear beside Kenma. In the woman's hands, she held a yellowed book.

Kenma leaned down, hoisted Al up from the ground, and wore a peaceful smile on his face.

"Let me introduce her. This is Capella, the Sin Archbishop of Lust who killed Priscilla, and my mount. And the book in her hands is your book of the dead."

"How about it? I am giving you a chance for revenge. If you want to avenge your Priscilla-sama, this is your only way to grow stronger, and your only chance to contend with me."

This was very likely a trap. After all, how could anyone actively aid the enemy?

But at this very moment, Al didn't care about any of it anymore.

The existence he cared about most was completely lost, there was nothing left for him to discard. Whether it was a trick or a trap, he accepted it all. As long as he could grow stronger and get his revenge, he would stop at nothing.

Al reached out and took the book of the dead.

Seeing the hatred in the other party's eyes, Kenma nodded in satisfaction, then beckoned to the two.

"Follow me, the Divine Dragon is on the top floor."

Just like that, the three of them walked up the spiral staircase, looking like a peaceful party.

At this moment, Kenma seemed to remember something and glanced sideways at the obedient, head-lowered Capella.

"By the way, your body is mixed with dragon blood, and you are also of the Lugunica royal bloodline. Does that make the Divine Dragon your ancestor?"

Capella was stuck by this question for a moment. After thinking for several seconds, she squeezed out an answer.

"Uhm... That should be right. After all, I have dragon blood on me, and the Divine Dragon has signed a contract with the Lugunica royal family for hundreds of years. From these two relationships, the Divine Dragon is indeed my ancestor."

"Oh."

Having obtained the answer to his question, Kenma stopped asking further and merely shrugged, "You really are a half-breed. I'm not scolding you, it's just a general term for your human-dragon hybrid bloodline."

Capella: "..."
