Last Name Pt. 1 is off to the editors! (Patreon)

I did mention for them to not worry about it until after Thanksgiving. Family first.

Part Two should be coming out pretty quickly after this one. I have most of it written just a few more scenes to go and then going back and adding scene details. It does look like I may get both of these out before the end of the month. (Woo!)

Last Name sort of took on a life of its own once I got going on it and so far I have 42 pages, 22 of those will be in part 1, and as I said I still have some to finish up in Pt 2. Most of that was written in three days. My muse rode me pretty hard on this one, at one point I had around five full pages of just notes. 😅

In art news Bun has been working on Mage Kal the last couple of days and has apparently taken on creating the runes in TRC as a side project. I haven't talked prices with her yet for her work doing this but this is something that I have been trying to put together for more than a year now and I am absolutely thrilled with just the little bit she has gotten. She's also putting a ton more effort into them than I expected, it looks more like she's designing a language and it is awesome!

The image is just a preliminary design she sent me and what's amazing is that each of the symbols on the outside actually have a specific attribute/aspect/meaning to them (I made a spreadsheet for her of all the spells I could think of with much of that info on it). It's pretty freaking wild imo and it all started from designing the runes on Kal's bracers.

I am floating the idea of adding Beta readers to the finishing process for the chapters. I essentially have one already with 2muchdiggity but I would like to add a few more people who might be interested. I'm honestly torn about asking you all because I feel that you should get the finished and refined Chapters/Stories but at the same time as Patrons, you have more right to be a part of the process than anyone if you so choose. As I said, I'm just floating the idea so far I'll take the rest of the year to think about how to approach/implement it, talk to a few more authors who use Beta readers, and make some decisions at the beginning of 2021.
