Tristoon Cartoons

In the manga Luffy very rarely has thought bubbles, he usually just says what he's thinking

Smatty

Luffy's determination and inspiration for his friends, family and the influence he puts on people like Bon Clay, will always be his best quality. It's always amazing how he surprises us all how far this man goes. Love how you instantly recognize that Enoki. Stay strong girlie! this ride is about to get bumpy.

Garrett Sialoi

So, One Pace doesn't show you, but Bon Clay went through so many different scenarios in his head, they all played out, but the results were always the same, Magellan poisoned them and death was inevitable. So Bon Clay ran. He wasn't doing it for his own survival, he was frustrated that he couldn't do ANYTHING to help his friend.

Devon Ritchie

Bon Clay is a beast, truly one of the best friends of the strawhats

Pedro Pages

A really funny detail when they are talking about Bon-Clay they describe them as a "man" but corrected with "okama" like they at least cared about their gender identity, which is a cute and funny detail.

KingCrab

One Pace really out here slandering Bon by cutting out his thought process

"Not to pull 'the power of friendship' bullshit" That's the beauty of One Piece. The power of friendship is pivotal to just about every battle or difficult situation our crew finds themselves in, but it isn't just presented as a sloppy plot device, but rather written in through several layers of subtext. For how powerful and determined he is, Luffy is absolutely hopeless without his friends.

Drew Radie

Noel was right, if there was even a chance of making the situation 1% better, be there. But, in this case, that 1% wasn't there. There's also the "stay out of the way" concept. If two people above your level are fighting, intervention is more likely to get your friend hurt trying to protect you from colateral damage than it is to help turn the tide
