Set in North Carolina, "A Walk To Remember" follows the rite of passage of a jaded, aimless high school senior (Shane West) who falls in love with a guileless young woman (Mandy Moore) he and his friends once scorned. The two develop a powerful and inspirational relationship in which they discover truths that take most people a lifetime to learn.

When I seen this was the movie you watched my instant thought was he’s gonna need some days to recover from this one cause he’s about to go through it!🤣 I agree with you about the friends. I wouldn’t have forgiven them. I don’t care if they’re kids or not they just pure evil. Mandy Moore and Shane West were top tier in this movie. Still to this day just about everyone else in the cast makes me cringe with the acting and I don’t think it’s because it’s a late 90s movie cause I thought the same thing then. So I don’t know if anyone said this to you already but Mandy Moore actually started out as a pop star singer . She came out a little after Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. She wasn’t as big as them but gained momentum. I always seen her as super innocent with a pure heart. I believe this was her first leading role in a big movie. I think she’s a better actress but her music isn’t bad. There were a few songs she sings in the movie. Like when she was getting the tattoo and at the end of the movie. Can’t wait to see what other 90s and 2000s movies you’re gonna watch!

I remember watching this not too long after it came out in 2002 and I remember bawling my eyes out. It’s been 20 years and I couldn’t remember a lot of the story line, but I knew I’d be ugly crying at some point!
