Blair is disappointed when her father brings his boyfriend, Roman, home for the Christmas holidays, and begins to formulate a plan to get rid of the unwanted guest. To make matters worse, she finds out that Chuck and Nate are spending time together in Monaco, and becomes paranoid that Nate may find out her secret. Elsewhere, Serena enlists the help of Jenny and Vanessa as she tries to find the perfect present for Dan.

Eric saying "he only has one facial expression, and it scares me" and then Serena following it up with "and he raised Chuck, that scares me" when Lily tells them about dating Bart always makes me cackle

lmao idk if other people agreed it was a horrible gift but I honestly think it was very sweet and very her dad... like it's very blair, we can see where she gets her dreamer idealism and ways of showing she cares for people with him lol. he showed her he had every intention of incorporating her into his life with roman, he was never leaving her, there as a way forward and he had not only just bought a house and "had a room" for her, he decorated it meticulously *with* roman to show how much they both care and had her in mind... it should be a given BUT 6ish months into his affair and leaving (since we know it was after serena left) and he's buying a house but showing that he always intended on having her be as much a part of it as possible as soon as he could figure it out. it's thoughtful to me lol.
