Serena's old habits return, but when she eventually reveals her secret to her friends, they put their differences aside as they try to help her. However, Dan is not told the truth about what is going on, so he begins to assume the worst about his girlfriend. Elsewhere, Rufus's band is invited to play at a concert sponsored by Rolling Stone, but Lily is the last person he expects to run into there.

Dan made me wanna jump through the screen during this episode lmao 🤣 Georgina is BAT SHIT. Sick! I think Blair saying they were best friends is because they have all known each other since kindergarten. They know all each other’s dirt and despite the beef they all have, when one of them needs help, they all show up without judgement or questioning.

Georgina crashing out over Serena not answering always made me cackle, but Dan's behavior in this episode always pissed me off...like why do you immediately assume the worst of your girlfriend and think she's "going back to her old ways". even Rufus told him that he can be overly judgmental of people too quickly. love Nate and Vanessa as a couple so much, Jessica Szohr's is drop dead gorgeous but I do feel like the writers did Vanessa dirty with some of the writing earlier/later on

you are such a dan stannnnn and it's so funny because I watch this and I'm such a fan of everyone except his judgy too-honest ass. I sympathise with him but like... the nonjudgemental breakfast club is where I stand, say what we'd like about Chuck Blair and Nate (post the pilot ofc) but they stand by one another through thick and think without judgement or putting their faith in the wrong people, and I strangely have less sympathy for dan in the world of gg because of that loyalty they sahre LOL like serena only ever told blair about things going on in her relationship meanwhile dan is confiding in some girl he just met AND wouldn't give serena the cahnce to talk to him alone last ep without vanessa or georgina waiting to leave?! stfu dan. maybe she just wants to confide in her friends because you're proving you wouldn't understand??

serena nate chuck and blair are besties boo haha, messy and toxic but tightly woven childhood besties who clearly are the only ones who can fully empathise with and defend eachother with no limits. I appreciate you trying to empathise with dan but i'm like... as you point out, all the shit we know aside he was willingly, soberly ready to make out with another girl he'd confided in within a day of his breakup with serena who he's clearly aware is obviously going through it and not herself and drunkenly apparently cheated? something he brings up and then readily believes when she says "yes" rather than questioning whether he even believes it or why?? one glimpse of old serena and her not living up to his standard and relapsing to a person she's explained to him that she doesn't want to be and HE'S READY TO KISS SOMEONE ELSE WITH FEELING?! BOY BYE.

I gotta say, it was a very good move on from the writers to write Georgina the way they did. Bring in a even bigger antagonist to make the audience warm up a bit to Blair and Chuck because they’re working against Georgina who is arguably even worse than they are to help Serena who is definitely one of the most likeable characters this far in the show.
