Meredith, Cristina, Izzie and Alex spend their first day as residents with their own interns, including George, repeating his internship after failing his exams, and Meredith's half-sister. Cristina searches for Burke, who is nowhere to be found and Richard resumes his position as chief of surgery.

Ah Lexie Grey...that's my baby, but that introduction while Meredith is dealing with a trauma patient was NOT IT. yeah, I can't imagine being in George's shoes like those are the people he either went through school or just spent the last three years interning with so to be an intern to one of them would suck so hard... Izzy's interns pissed me the fuck off, like how are you gonna disrespect someone that went through the grueling program you're currently going through, plus the deer helping is a learning opportunity...they literally tell them to take every learning opportunity they can. but she is a loser when it comes to the whole George thing. "I don't like you cause YOU'RE YOU" gag him Christina, and Derek saying Meredith's issue is that "she's always fine" bitch you're here asking her friend how she is instead of talking with her about you relationship and how you flirted with her sister...i don't think you should speak on anyone's problems!! And you're absolutely right about how everyone goes to Bailey when they have an issue or need some type of advice so Richard should've absolutely seen that and made her the chief resident...no shade to Callie, love her down. I absolutely HATE how George is making Callie feel like she's doing something wrong in the marriage...

mark takes time, much like alex you can't just be told or spoiled you have to SEE and form your own opinions I totally get it - that said I will just confirm that he is being genuine in that moment with derek, whether that's enough or what that means to you is up to you obviously BUT i'm excited to see how you feel about things as the show continues!

this is one of the best season premiere ideas imo because the writers were smart, it was about time for a switchup/change and they could've made up the timeline to drag their time as interns but S4 is the perfect time to introduce some new characters like Lexi, and make our core "interns" pass their exam and become residents - I DIE at Bailey with Izzy being like "not my interns not my problem" lmaoooo
