Glad you enjoyed this one. Once again I can't say too much as I never wanna spoil anything for you but I personally love Deb. Yes Nathan is HORRIBLE but I give him some grace considering that he has a manipulative father and an absent mother so it kinda makes sense to me. I love that Haley is being reasonable in that aspect. I think one of the best things of One Tree Hill is the depth of the characters and the archs they go through.

Oh nathan…he is the product of a horrible father and absentee mother like i fear i’m not shocked he is like that, i love that haley is trying to be a nuanced person between nathan and lucas cause being brothers was robbed from them thanks to dan like they don’t understand each other and if they took the time to, things could be different. like this just makes me love haley more she has such a big understanding heart for someone so young

The only defense for Haley is she's never actually there when Nathan is being mean to Lucas so she doesn't know the extent to his cruelty, hearing about it and seeing it are two different things. That said, girl def should have spoken up when she had the chance cuz yikes. Lol

I know OTH like the back of my hand. I’ve watched the series at least 7 times, I lost track 🫢 I had to stop my annual rewatches, my friends thought I had a problem. Although I know the plot front and back and every character’s journey, it’s been yearsss since I’ve seen season one. Seeing the tiny little one off scenes or throw away lines is so interesting again after all these years. Even something as simple as me not remembering Deb didn’t show up til episode four lol.

I love Deb!!! As you astutely realized, the boys are very close in age!!! So I give Deb some grace in the fact that while Deb is odd for staying with Dan… they did already have a kid together very early on… so I can sympathize with her for staying with that demon to keep Nathan’s family together
