I love Maedhros all in silvery grey. It makes so much sense.

This is a new tiny brush I have for detail work - it's normally used in oils and acrylics, but works exceptionally well for tiny detailed spots. As I can't (and never could) see in 3D, it's pretty hard for me to know where exactly a brush tip is going to touch the paper! With a shorter tip, it's easier.

I'd also redone the background. Again on Stonehenge cold-pressed paper. I feel so fickle with my paper loyalties.

Grey color definetly suits him! Looks like its going to be another masterpiece.

Hehe, a fellow non-3D-person. Rare breed. He looks awesome in grey. I'm amazed at your current productivity in spite of your eye condition!

Grey suits him. This looks gorgeous.

Definitely agree about Maedhros in silvery grey! Is Stonehenge the new favourite? Or is it just for this painting? Your changing paper loyalties make me grin, in a nice way, it's lovely to see someone getting all enthusiastic over something they enjoy using :)

in my mind, grey is a (the?) Fëanorian colour (par excellence?)(red is very meaningful as well...). I don't know... it just works so well with these 7 sons. Anyway, I love what you did with those colours !
