I'm very artistic today. I get new brushes that are wonderful to work with (not because they're the best brushes ever made, but because my old brushes were four years old and it never had occurred to me to replace them...), I'm having fun with raw Sienna and Ultramarine, and I cut my own fringe today. XD Zoom conferences and closed hairdressers are a bad combination!

I love that combination of colours! You’re getting me all creatively inspired.

It's my go-to combination, interestingly, for Fingon. I used it both in the Glaurung one and in "Utulie'n Aure". It's been a favourite combination of mine from early childhood. I never drew many princesses, but I remember one with a sky-blue dress and beige-golden highlights XD

Those colours are really suitable for Fingon. It makes paintings of him stand out amongst others. That’s really cool! Reminds me of an illustration I saw in a children’s book many years ago. I can just picture it-very beautiful indeed!

It looks fantastic so far! I really love those colours for the Nolofinwëans.

Great combination, raw Sienna and Ultramarine- I love Ultramarine! Maybe because my son is called Marijn? :) This scene is getting more beautiful by the day!

After drawing and designing in Procreate, how do you transfer that to your watercolor paper?

Jenny Dolfen

Hi Molly, I just print it - the same way I always do. I've done the lineart on smooth paper for years - almost decades - and then printed it on grained watercolour paper.
