I saw Raye 3 weeks ago, for the second time. I had the most surreal, out of body experience hearing Nightingale Lane live, now I can’t hear it without sobbing 😭 She sang Life Boat for the first time live that night, you could see people were changed by that song and many others. This album is telling us that it’ll get better, that we are not alone and never to give up. Raye genuinely cares about people. There is no one like her today. Incredible artist ✨

I had to subscribe as I needed to see this review in full and uncut. This album knocked me sideways as we say in the UK, I saw Raye in a small jazz venue in London playing to 100 people max years ago and I knew she was special then. This album is pure art, passion and joy. So bloody proud of her.

this genuinely may be my favorite album of all time. fell in love with raye after watching you react to her a while back and now she's my #1 artist. i am recently postpartum (baby will be 8 weeks this weekend!) and although this album is a lot about heartbreak, the depression and emotions she sings about really speak to this season of my life. couldn't be any more perfect!!! because why not shake your ass and scat when you hate the way you look today!? As a classically trained musician, listening to the last track (even if it was just credits) brought genuine tear to me eyes. The instrumentation this album has is so unique, so to see her not only use big bands and orchestras but to CREDIT EACH PLAYER ONE BY ONE???? I've never seen any pop star give flowers to people like that. Accompaniment jobs like that aren't common and often don't pay enough to make a living off of. And for her to have a track on the album solely to thank them all personally? I can only imagine how that kind of recognition probably made them feel <3

this album (particularly the last half) genuinely has saved my life multiple times this year. it's been one of the hardest years of my life and i've almost given up more than i'd like to admit, but this album is one of the reasons i am still here. forever grateful to Raye, Noah Kahan (Call Your Mom), and music in general ❤️‍🩹
