I think this is the youtube edit. I can't synch my copy;)

I absolutely love this movie. So much fun. And Jack Burton is a damn delight. The comedy sidekick who thinks he's the hero. How this premise hasn't been revisited more in Hollywood is beyond me. For anyone who hasn't seen it, I would highly recommend the film commentary by Carpenter and Russell. If memory serves me right, Burton wasn't even supposed to kill Lo Pan. They added that later because the producers complained that Kurt Russell, the so-called hero of the movie, doesn't do anything. Evidently, no one understood Carpenter's vision so it was marketed poorly and then wound up being a huge bomb in theaters. But I loved this movie since its release and I'm so glad it's become a cult classic over the years. It's one of my favorite movies to watch reactors respond to, and as always, the two of you didn't disappoint! Always such a joy to watch the two of you. Keep it up!

That is a weird movie. Your bewilderment as things were happening got me through to the end. By the way, you saw Victor Wong(Egg) in Tremors.

TeatroGrottesco

So as you guys noticed Carpenter and Russel wanted Burton, while listed as the star, to really be the side kick who had no clue what was going on or what he was doing. Nailed it.

FranciscoGios

Not a favorite Carpenter movie, but it does its job to entertain you a bit. And like Carolyn said it does feel like Mortal Kombat because Boon the creator of MK is a big Fan of the Director John Carpenter, so good eye on that.

This movie had a big influence on video games like Mortal Kombat (as did Enter the Dragon and Bloodsport) which is why it feels that way.

Totally Whatever

Yes, Tremors!! We just re-released our reaction on YT after having copyright issues. I'll be sharing our Full-length on Patreon soon.

Totally Whatever

Thank you, Gary. I'm glad we did a good job with the reaction! Kurt Russell as Jack Burton is perfection.

Totally Whatever

🙌 We loved it when he knocked himself out and when he was trapped under one of the bad guys after he stabbed him.

TeatroGrottesco

it’s one of those movies where in the beginning there’s just so much going on that you kind of come away with it feeling like an etch a sketch. But it gets in grind in you and you’ll find yourself quoting it and coming up more than you expected to as time goes on.

I just watched the YouTube edit that was re-uploaded. It's a good one 👍
