Michael Lynch

Blade Runner is such a classic, so Iโ€™ve heard. Iโ€™ve tried watching it three times and every time I fall asleep.

Michael Lynch

Robin Hood is incredible and a very fun adventure that you two would absolutely love

UCOOLJULES

It's not a feel good movie, but Rutger Hauer delivers an all time genius supporting performance. And if you're a bit tipsy, you'll probably not get it ๐Ÿ˜‰

AdrianF

Anyone not voting for Robin Hood doesn't agree with me ;)

AdrianF

KC was alright, CS was less so. But it's still just about the one to watch (IMO) out of the 4. Running Man hasn't aged well, never got the love for Blade, and it's better than Rock for me. Just.

AdrianF

Same, never understood the love for BR (or its sequel), have tried many times. It has the same effect on me as any of the Dunes. Pretty, but pointless.

Shawn Goforth

My soul is officially crushed that a Michael Bay movie is somehow winning out over these other three. He is personally responsible for each migraine I've had since 1995, and may also be the reason we now know what the acronym ADHD stands for.

Phil Stubblefield

I feel the need for counterpoint here, if only to disabuse our fearless leaders of the notion that most people don't like this film. I can see people saying they don't really get it, especially with versions other than Ridley Scott's final director's cut. But I have difficulty envisioning someone falling asleep! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ (Of course, if you don't like Dune either, than I'd guess you're just not a fan of science fiction in general. And that's not a criticism, merely an observation, because that's what my dad was like, and I still loved him... ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Om

Be honest, anyone voting for Robin Hood is doing so for the Alan Rickman scenes. You could cut the entire movie down to 20mins of Rickman playing the Sheriff of Notthingham and that would be all most fans want. Hell they'd probably like it better because there'd be less waiting to get to them.

Om

I'm torn on this. Robin Hood is not actually a good movie, imo. Though I do laugh when he gets off the boat in Dover and walks to Nottingham by the afternoon (pretty certain that's in no way a spoiler). Blade Runner is good. Running Man is pretty cheesy. I think people remember it as better than it was. The Rock is a very good film, though less my type of movie. I'm going with Blade Runner.

Om

Be happy. I just voted Blade Runner and moved it to 28% and 28% for both of them. You still have a chance. (I actually like both but I think the girls would enjoy Blade Runner more)

Phil Stubblefield

Really, people? The Rock and Robin Hood are both fun adventures, but Blade Runner is an icon of science fiction! I'm not generally a fan of dystopian settings, but Ridley Scott's 1982 vision of what 2019 Los Angeles would look like is fascinating. Harrison Ford delivers the goods as always, but Rutger Hauer steals the show with a career-defining performance. Make sure you watch Blade Runner: The Final Cut (2007), which was released 25 years after the theatrical cut, and which is the only version over which director Ridley Scott had full control.

Om

Oh, that's a very good point. After the calamity that was them both watching the NON-director's cut of Alien 3, we have to make absolutely sure they watch the director's cut of Blade Runner if they do watch it. It ranks alongside Dark City, I Am Legend and Justice League (yes, really) as movies where you absolutely must see the director's version.

Phil Stubblefield

Ah, the fabulous Alan Rickman! He is sorely missed. May he rest in peace! ๐Ÿชฆ

Mark M

I'd like all 4 to win:)

Joseph George

Had to choose Robin Hood because it's such a early 90s movie. One in fact was MY Robin Hood. Wanted to live in the Sherwood forest village. Plus the Bryan Adams song that dominated every thing in 1991. I counted at least 9 weddings I went to that played that song

Mark M

I remember when it came out MuchMusic(like MTV for Canada)had the video in heavy rotation. It combined scenes from the film with Bryan Adams singing in a forest. I think that version of the video has been scrubbed from the internet.

softshoes

Got to go with The Rock. One of the last movies where Cage appeared somewhat normal. Plus how can you beat Sean Connery.

FranciscoGios

I think you canโ€™t go wrong with the top 2 movies voted ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘ but Iโ€™m hoping for The Rock, itโ€™s around the likings for the both sisters

Michael Lynch

Actually, I love it for Kevin Costner. Always liked him. I also love the bodyguard.

AdrianF

Yes a little, Hondo. But there's plenty of other good scenes.
