The South Park episode "A Nightmare on Facetime" also does a great "Shining" parody. And, hopefully not giving too much away, you may also want to see Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One" now.

JoeyVettes

Hi ladies, have you seen The Firm with Tom Cruise 1993?

Wade Wallenstein

I LOVE the Treehouse of Horror episodes! Looked forward to these every year when I was a teenager and they always delivered. So many TV and Movie parodies plus their own ideas. Hope you watch more!

Totally Whatever

No, we haven't. We seem to have a lot of Tom Cruise movies to catch up on.

JoeyVettes

Whatcha think? Misery 1990 GI Jane 1997 9 1/2 weeks 1986 Urban Cowboy 1980 Amadeus 1984 Outland 1981 Glengarry Glen Ross 1992 Time After Time 1979 Vanilla Sky 2001 Taxi Driver 1976 Vertigo 1958 Rear Window 1954 Sneakers 1992 Brainstorm 1983 Natalie Wood last movie.

Sorry about that LOL I know it's quite a dump. Take your time.

JoeyVettes

Some of these movies I've seen numerous times over the years. But when I see you two and your reactions to movies it's like I'm watching them all again for the first time. I guess that's the point. Can't wait for the next one.

The beginning where Bart says "we are controlling the transmission...etc" is from the tv series The Outer Limits (1963-1965). It was like Twilight Zone, but more focused on science fiction. "Nightmare Cafe" is a spoof on the 1973 film Soylent Green.

Totally Whatever

Oh, yes! The Outer Limits, I've seen some of those episodes.

Bill W

I think they rebooted it in the '90s for 1 or 2 seasons.

Jon Goranson

Wow! Fun to watch your reaction. I haven't watched Simpsons since this one was on! Time and Punishment a parody of A Sound of Thunder. Not a great movie, sadly. Nightmare Cafeteria for Soylent Green, as Bill W said, with a nod to To Serve Man Twilight Zone as well. Thanks for sharing! Take care!

Bill W

It probably came on after Unsolved Mysteries. Great children's programming. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Pirateman

Please do more, or even some other 90's shows/cartoons. Did either of you watch Daria?

Totally Whatever

We will! We've seen a few episodes of Daria a long time ago.
