Pure 80s cheese, lol. "Let off some steam Bennett".

James Hadden

That was a ton of fun as expected. Arnold had his usual awesome/terrible one liners, but I actually think he was outdone by Cindy’s lines in this one. Her character could have easily been annoying, but she was a great sidekick and Rae’s delivery was spot on and really landed the comedy. BTW it appears you were actually watching the theatrical cut not the director’s as stated in the description.

Great reaction to an Arnold classic

Totally Whatever

Thank you, James!! I've corrected the description. We really appreciate your keen eye.

chris brown

Eraser (1996) is a good Arnold movie IMO.

chris brown

Also Last action Hero (1993)

Wade Wallenstein

I haven't seen this since the 90s so it was great seeing it again! A great Arnold movie to watch around Christmas is Jingle All the Way. There is also Last Action hero which is fun! I looked it up and there is a total of 108 kills with 74 at the island.

bahstuffandnonsense

This is the one I've been waiting for; I just knew you would love it and I'm so glad you were able to watch it together. 90 minutes of high-80s action, I had a blast reliving it through your eyes! Good job spotting Bill Duke and Bill Paxton; there is another actor in the cast from a famous film franchise, but you haven't done it on the channel yet so I won't spoil it. One small piece of trivia: the mansion used as Arius' HQ has a Hollywood connection, it was built for the silent film star Harold Lloyd in the 1920s. Thanks again!

Perry Campbell

Great reaction as always 😁 did u guys noticed when Arnie Killed Sully they had a cable hooked to his foot. Holding him in the air. 😄😄😄😄😄

Totally Whatever

We had to be in the same room for this one! Glad you enjoyed our reaction - seriously, we had way too much fun.

Commando: The Musical ?! 🤣🤣🤣 worth every second. Great share.

I saw this movie when I was like 5 years old, edited for TV. My dad did not like how I was imitating Arnold, kicking and punching stuff, so he sat me down in front of three 1950s Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis comedy films. I specifically remember that by doing that, I became hooked on older films and comedy as a little kid over thirty years ago. That helped lead into my wide fascinated and love for all kinds of movies and television. Of course, I still watched this movie and other action flicks, and kicked and punched stuff. - Even I noticed the makeup in bed before. She looked so great when waking up! 1980s style. - I loved the lines in this film. When the bad guy is trying to negotiate with him and Arnold is just like "WRONG!" it was hilarious because Arnold had no time or tolerance for any crap. Arnold says some form of "I'm back" or "I'll be back!" in nearly every role. Keep trying to spot it when you watch his movies. - Villy Villerson and Smarmy Smarmerson? I still wonder how many more you guys can come up with. - Nanette was right about the mall being the old Sherman Oaks Galleria. The mall was the same one used in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Crazy to see mall police! They used to have armed officers who worked specifically for malls. They got rid of them and that was one (of many reasons) that malls declined during the late 1990s. - The main villain is actor Dan Hedaya. He played the father in Clueless (1995), he was Carla's ex husband on "Cheers" and has been in many, many movies. He is good. - The shootout at the end takes place in the same mansion as the end shootout in Beverly Hills Cop at Maitland's House.

Happy to hear that young Mike was a well-rounded kid! ;) I think Carolyn can come up with endless names - we will have to wait and see. I knew that mansion looked familiar!

Speaking of the Sherman Oaks Galleria, the movie Terminator 2 is *set* at that same mall (where young John Connor and his friend are playing video games and shortly later, the Terminators both come face to face with John) but actually filmed at another location. At least once in T2 you hear someone refer to the “Galleria.”

REDR58

Carolyn and Nanette, you are the second reactors I’ve watched that noticed the woman wearing the full makeup in bed! That didn’t even occur to me to *both* times I watched this with different reactors! 😄 Alyssa Milano was about 12 in this movie. Im pretty sure that in no other movie will else will ever you see Arnold Schwarzenegger making kissy faces at a deer! Vernon Welles who plays Bennett is probably most famous for starring in the movie The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max 2) as an even more outlandish character with an even crazier outfit! Sully drives his yellow 1969 Porsche 911 T Targa and Cindy drives a 1964 Sunbeam Alpine Series IV. I prefer her Sunbeam over the Porsche. And I’m quite certain the Porsche could easily outrun the Sunbeam! Cindy (Rae Dawn Chong) who was born in 1961 and who was about 24 here, is the daughter of Tommy Chong of “Cheech and Chong.” I think she’s very charming in this movie with some funny lines. She’s right about the airplane, a Grumman G-21 Goose, being older than she is because this type of aircraft was built between 1937-1945 and used in WW2. When John blows up the buildings after being chased by some of the soldiers, you can see that the soldier standing in front of the building buildings are just dummies propped up! The chairman worn by Knit Vest McGee (Bennett) was indeed not made out of real chain mail: “We should talk about the costume. Was that already designed for the previous actor, and you literally had to step into his shoes, or did they change the costume for you? No, it was exactly the way he had it. I flew to the States and they didn’t have time to make a new costume. It was always going to be the chain mail vest, the fingerless gloves, and the leather trousers? Just on someone a lot slimmer and shorter? It’s called a stoker’s vest, which people wore when they were putting the coal into the furnaces of ships. They made it up to look like it was chainmail, but if it had been real chain mail, it would have weighed about 45 lbs. There’s no way I’d have been dancing around if I were wearing that. I’d have been crawling around the floors. Also, I don’t know a lot of chain mail where the pipe would have gone all the way through so easily. To me, the costume was what it was, and what it should have been for the character. It made the character. Making me look like Freddy Mercury was not intentional, but it kind of happened.” https://bristolbadfilmclub.co.uk/born-to-be-bad-vernon-wells/ The basement reminds me of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” The lower lever of basement in the bottom of the mansion looks like the boiler room of a ship! Anyway, this was fun to revisit!

Totally Whatever

Ha ha, we noticed that right away. I think we were just jealous, we don't look like that when we wake up, far from it! Good call on the basement from Nightmare on Elm Street - very similar.
