I'm fluent in Movie Quotes. Other than English, it's the only other language I speak. At my best friend's destination Bachelor Party, he and I spent an entire night out without ever saying anything that wasn't a Movie Quote... even to waitresses and strangers. Without a doubt, it was one of the most hilarious nights of my life.

Before watching Spaceballs you gotta watch Star Wars. You've probably heard about characters or seen clips but if you have not sat down and watched Star Wars from the beginning you should. I think you'll love it.

Totally Whatever

I thought this one would be easy for you! An entire night saying ONLY movie quotes?! Sounds amazing.

Totally Whatever

We really need to watch Star Wars straight through. We've both seen the originals, but we remember very little.

To quote one of my favorite animated films, "I talk some TV!" The only quote here I didn't know was The Godfather. You definitely have to watch Dumb and Dumber, The Big Lebowski and Tommy Boy!

I want to see a re-edit of Braveheart with Mel screaming "CHOCOLAAAAAATE" as he's put to death. 🤣🤣🤣

Bill W

Tommy Boy is under represented in the reactor verse.

Bill W

*Goodfellas, not Godfather. The only one I didn't know was Dumb and Dumber. Not a fan of that one.

The first 3 films were magic. The world building, the story, the characters, the cast/performances.... This is going to seem like a hot take, but I've never liked Spaceballs. It seems odd since I was a prime target for it when it came out. Big Star Wars fan in my mid-teens. I like it only slightly more now. When I compare it to Brooks' other films... Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, High Anxiety..it falls way short. I actually much prefer the Family Guy parodies.

Mark M

I think i could do it. If anyone talked to me, I would just say "I'll be back" and hide in the washroom.

Totally Whatever

We haven't seen any of those films. They are all in the queue.

Yeah, I don't think any of Mel Brooks' films after "History of the World, Part I" are that great. "The Producers" and "Silent Movie" are still his best, IMO. If Nanette & Carolyn ever do watch Star Wars for the channel, since they're already (at least somewhat) familiar with the OT, I'd implore them to watch the 6 movies chronologically so as to get the full flow of the entire saga. I'll die on the hill that Episode VI is much more dramatically impactful if you've already seen Eps. I-III before it.

Mark M

Maybe Rogue One can sneak in there as well.

I'm not as high on R1 as a lot of others, but I won't dispute it if they also watch it. It has a lot of the same hard-to-ignore problems as Disney Star Wars in general: bland/totally non-descript characters, weak world-building, painfully self-conscious fan service/'member berries, uninspired alien/creature designs, and undercutting certain story details from Eps. I-VI, to name a few. It's merely the *least bad* thing they've done, I feel. Of course, I was never going to be that interested in any of these side story movies/TV shows; the 'core saga' *was* Star Wars for me.
