I love this movie! I think you might be the first to react to it. The "singing cowboy" genre went extinct decades before I was even born and it's such a weird combination of elements that I found it fascinating that it was so popular once upon a time. And seeing bad guys from 1940s American Westerns (the cattle Baron and his henchmen) mix with bad guys from the very different 1960s Italian "Spaghetti Westerns" (the railroad baron and HIS henchmen) was great. I love how meta this movie is. Thanks for the reaction.

In the spirit of Blazing Saddles , A parody of westerns and of course. Roy Rogers films remember those ?? if not I don't blame you they were notoriously bad !!🤣 Thank you ladies very kindly🤠

This is one of those films that gets better with every western you watch or have seen before you watch this hidden gems. Casting TVs dad Andy Griffith as the villain, and Patrick Wayne as "the other hero," was a master stroke. Also I've had a crush on Marilu Henner, since I was 12. She did a love scene with my college dormmate in 2003! It's not what you're thinking. He was under the sheets, but he's a puppeteer, and he was playing a vampire. It's called GREG THE BUNNY (2002-2004) and you can watch it on Amazon Prime. Now, back to our show...

A lot of people don't get Hugh Wilson's humor. I knew he was gifted when WKRP came on TV. That's one of my favorite all time TV shows. If you pay attention, Hugh Wilson was the cav soldier coming down the steps with Marilu talking about $600 and land being 50 cents/acre in LA. I call these movies forgotten gems, like Being There, Kelly's Heroes, and History of the World Part 1.

Hugh Wilson is a genius. I realized that when he put WKRP on the TV. As God as my witness.........I thought turkeys could fly!

Totally Whatever

We haven't seen any Roy Rogers - we are seriously lacking in the western category.

This one was pretty entertaining. It reminded me of the Mel Brooks classic 'Blazing Saddles'. Tom Berenger is most recognizable to me in the movie 'Major League', but I also love an action thriller called 'Shoot To Kill' with some faces you would probably recognize.👍 If you want to see G.W. Bailey in another comedy check out 'Police Academy'.

Totally Whatever

We still haven't seen "Blazing Saddles' yet. ... or Major League' or 'Shoot To Kill' or 'Police Academy'. . lol- so many movies so little time.

Harvey Lee

Roy Rogers was the name John McClane (Bruce Willis ) used as a cover in Die Hard . As he talks to Al (the beat cop ) on the walkie Talkie he says " why don't you just call me Roy "

Shame on you! You should do a Mel Brooks Marathon, or at least one per week. They're magic. Mel is a genius!
