Trading Places is almost a Christmas movie, it's perfect! *crosses fingers*

UCOOLJULES

I've just watched sleepless, so I'll agree with you

Bill W

Pass.

Shawn Goforth

I have to go with Four Rooms for the full New Year's experience.

Phil Stubblefield

Ooh, after the first 20 minutes, we have a 7—7 tie! Of course, that's like having both football teams score a touchdown on their opening drives. There's still a whole lotta game to go!

Shadowdanc3r

There can be only one! Trading Places..lol

Mary Ann Morgan

I love a few of these movies, but my favorite is the Poseidon Adventure. I know it won’t win. Bummer. I was 12 when I first saw it at the drive-in and became so enamored of Gene Hackman that I finagled my parents into let me go see it five times. The last time I even wrote it in my diary and cut the ad in the paper out and put it in there, lol. I hope you get to it eventually. It’s really good.

trading places is a new year day film nothing else comes close trading places is a eddie murphy film

Powers209

A shot at Trading with a shot of 48 hours. Talk about a Holiday.

Flounder

The Tarantino monologue…. Chef’s kiss You know, Ted, a person's life is made up of a zillion little experiences. (another bill) Some, which have no meaning, are insignificant and you forget them. And some that stick with you for the rest of your natural life--(another bill on the pile)--barring Alzheimer's of course. Now, what we're proposing is so unusual, so outside the norm, that I think it would be a pretty good guess that this will be one of those experiences that sticks. So, since you're gonna be stuck remembering this moment for the rest of your life, you gotta decide what that memory will be. (one last bill on the pile) So, are you gonna remember for the next forty years, give or take a decade, how you refused a thousand dollars for one second's worth of work, or how you made a thousand dollars for one second's worth of work?

James Hadden

Yep, it really is a good movie. I’m a bit behind you though, I’ve only seen it twice so far

Silver Machine

Trading Places is an ideal choice! I hope it keeps the lead.

Mike the Ginger

Trading Places all the way. One of my absolute favorite films. Hilarious and it totally screams 1983. Sleepless in Seattle actually has the bulk of it take place around Valentine's Day.

Rusty Nail

Was always a favorite! Been a while since I've seen it. Hopefully i will when it wins.

Byrd N. Hand

It basically starts around Thanksgiving and culminates on New Year's Day.

Rick Rodriguez (PicoMan Photography)

Four Rooms is one of my favorite movies. IMO highly underrated. However, I voted for trading places since I believe more people know that movie and would enjoy that reaction especially during the holiday holidays

David Zabel

This is going to be a runaway for Trading Places.

Mike the Ginger

Eddie Murphy's career was the biggest takeoff since Lauren Bacall in the 1940s. Saturday Night Live 1980-1981, 48 Hrs 1982, Trading Places 1983 and Beverly Hills Cop 1984. Each film became a bigger hit than the last. The girls are making progress. If Trading Places wins, then they will eventually need to get to 48 Hrs.

Joe J

Ladies, where's "Dirty Harry" (71) on you're very long short list, lol?
